(Funny old thing, I always had this down for out and out 60s girly dancer, but sure sounds like a real classy ‘Lovations-esque’ crossover floater now, and in demand. Very tiny label wear on spindle hole edge)
Sissie Houston – Bring him back – Congress 268 WD M- £175
(This Latin tinged big band dancer with drum, horns and piano inserts reminds me of Johnny Caswell’s – You don’t love me anymore. Lovely demo in clean condition. Slight edge lift does not affect play)
Mill Evans – Got to have your love – Constellation 170 Ex+ £40
(Another class track on this awesome label, super soulful delivery, a catchy dancer, not many beat this free-flowing style of Northern, in the mould of Bobby Garrett - My little girl, Johnny Wyatt - This thing called love, Shep - Fool to fool)

(Full on R&B winner with rasping horn break, typical output from this supreme Texan label. Not a common 45 at all)

(What a cracking mid-tempo crossover tune this is, ideal for those Sunday chill out gigs. It’s the original yet hangs on the coat tails of the ‘Lovelites’ Grapevine release)

(Cracking big city girl group double sider, combining a catchy up-tempo dancer flipped with a femme beat ballad. Labels wrong way round. Misspelt title on ‘lovely’ side. Drill hole)
