I am wanting to contact Derek Sheldon , the well - known , and renowned , Rotherham DJ of the 70s , in respect of seeing if he will take part in the 31st Anniversary reunion of Wakefield Unity All - Nighter , which will be taking place in early September .

Derek was one of the original first night DJs at The Unity , and a regular DJ there , during the life of the all - nighter , and I would very much like him to be there ..... if he still has his records .

I would be extremely grateful if anyone can help with a contact number for him .

Last saw Derek Sheldon at a family wedding 15 years ago(now divorced) and he hadn't changed in appearance(lucky sod).As far as i remember i think he sold is records just after he finished at the Windmill,when he split with Crofty, if that's any help Malc.

I knew seeking out Derek would be a mammouth task ; I have attempted to find Derek for many years , not just in respect of the upcoming 31st Anniversary reunion for the Unity in September .

Derek , despite him being well known to many people on the scene , apparently has done a Lord Lucan , and disappeared .....

As stated , Derek was one of the DJs at the first Wakefield Unity All - Nighter in 1976 , along with Paul Rowan , John Poole , the late , and sadly missed , Andy Lee , Derek Greenhoff , Chris Donague and myself .
