There is a book called "The Old Barrio Guide to Low Rider Music - 1950 -1970" by Rubin Molina. Sounds like a great mastermind subject. It's got some background to the scene and an A to Z of the low rider artists many of which crossover with the UK Northern/rare soul scene. Also plenty of label pics. Can't vouch as to how accurate it is but I certainly enjoyed it. Good read. There is was also a series of cds called something like "songs for the slow and the low" which must mean low riders and not people who are stupid and depressed.!! Never got any but spent a weekend in Fleetwood listening to them and not venturing to far from the caravan as a result. Really obscure, to me anyway, deep soul/ballards Great stuff. Regards Alan
