This has probably been done before but everytime I head out to a local Soul night (Volks Tavern Brighton) I always play the same tune over and over again as I get ready to go out. It's always the Isley Brothers My love is your love. By the time I've heard it about 4 or 5 times along with a glass of the hard stuff I've got such a buzz going I can't wait to get out and hear some sounds.

Just wondering what other people listen too before heading out

While I'm in the shower, pre heading out, I put on My fave TV and film themes. Barbarella, Modesty Blaise, Magnificent Seven, The Avengers......... (save the Northern toons for the journey!)
