February 7, 200520 yr The Marva Whitney is a top 45. And cheap at the moment, too. link what kind of sound is it Gareth ? does it move more towards funk ?
February 7, 200520 yr Yes, Richard, the a-side moves towards funk, shakes it's hand, and plants a big wet kiss on Funk's lips. The other side is phenomenal Floyd Smith-inspired doom-laden deep soul: like early Loleatta Holloway or Floyd's own "Getting Nowhere Fast" on Dakar. For me the very best Marva Whitney record.

February 7, 200520 yr Author hey guys - I can add a soundclip of the flip if anybody wants to hear it....the flip is excellent, but I assumed that almost everybody would only be into the upbeat side. Best, Haim
