hello i am from america and i stumbled on this site because soul music is my thing. i quickly discovered that europe uk and england has the biggest and most thriving soul market these days, and i would like to know where exactly could i find stores, clubs, musicians, and people that are into soul music. I mean if i had a chance to visit where is the main sources of all this soul activity? What are the places called? I am also a musician as well and I collect soul memorabilia also. Any guidance on this question would be extremley helpful.

Clubs there are so many,press events at the top should give you some idea maybe!!.

welcome to soul source ... best thing is to put a post up here when you are thinking of coming to the UK there are quite a few promoters and dj's on here so they will let you know but has Kenny said in the events page is a list.. but there are a lot more do's than that..

Just use Google and Youtube, type in Northernsoul and Northern Soul and surf.

There are of course many others, all linked from each other. The Soul Source site is not the best place to start, its more of an intermediate site and can appear a little daunting so don't be put off.

Happy surfing and remember that the UK has music and a scene both get a little complex for those on the out side looking in but there are enough people on The Soul Source site to give you a good explanation on all concepts of our scene.

If you were flying into Heathrow or Gatwick from the US you may like the 100 club in London as it's in London's West End so would be easy to get to. Info for the 100 club and other events in London can be found on www.6ts.info.
