Here's a few 45s for set sale to tide you over until my next ebay auction. Mostly modern soul but don't overlook the great Latin boogaloo tune at the end.
1. Mellaa - Free b/w Makin' Love In The Fast Lane on Larc, NM, $60
Great in-demand modern soul here. The promo with Fast Lane on both sides is relatively common but you definitely want this rarer stock issue because "Free" is actually the better of the two tracks (although they're both quality)!
4. Cesar's All Stars - See Saw Affair b/w The Lady In My Life on Teo, NM, $60
Very obscure self-released 45 by this San Francisco crew. These songs also appeared on the LP but the 45 is far rarer and, until recently, unknown. Linda Tillery contributes a beautifully soulful vocal and I believe this song could appeal to a lot of different crowds.
5. The Bears - Put A Little Love In Your Heart b/w What She Done on Mata, NM-, $20
Another San Francisco record, heretofore unknown, now gaining a little recognition. Classy blue-eyed modern/crossover soul. Grab this while it's still cheap.
9. Pedrito Ramirez y Su Combo - Micaela b/w Por Tenerte on Popo, NM, $40
I have never been able to track down where this group was from but it's a great 60s boogaloo tune with Spanish vocals. Totally unknown until I came across a few copies.
Grading: I grade conservatively and base my evaluation on the look AND sound of the record. I grade on a scale of NM, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- (I will rarely list a record less than VG unless its scarcity warrants it).
Shipping: First class shipping within the U.S. is $4, including delivery confirmation. International shipping is $6 for regular airmail. As for multiple item purchases, shipping is free for the second 45 and $1 more per 45 (bulk purchases will ship at cost). I generally go to the post office 2-3 times a week to ship out packages, so you should get your record quickly! All records are packed using standard 45 mailers and cardboard fillers.
