Song Title Wanted

I need to know who does who does this song. It's a seventies male & female vocal group, sound like fifth dimension? the song is a mid tempo thing with the lines "along came the woman they call Ella May" ?

It's from a mix tape Tom moulton did for the sandpiper in New York in 1974, i know this not be much of a clue, but that's all i've got.

Came across my copy- it's Aware #034- "Hanna Mae" / "Hanna Mae (instrumental)".

You probably heard the instrumental- the A side is ruined by one of the most over the

top vocals I've heard ! :D
