Donnie Elbert- Little Piece Of Leather

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the other, I presume more recent, version of "Little Piece of Leather".

I found it recently on a compilation called "This Is Mod" and it has extra drums and more guitar including a nice guitar solo. I'm still making my mind up which one i prefer. Any information would be handy, also is the other version available as a 45?

I don't know about the "This Is Mod" version but their was always two versions when I were a lad.

The UK London HLU 10370 / US AllPlatinum 2337 version.
