I would like to give one a bit of praise and a pat on the back

Last week I won a BJ Thomas Demo : Mind of my own : Scepter when listed it was described near mint looks unplayed

It arrived yesterday

Anyway with postage it only cost $20 was despatched, well packaged, and arrived very quickly

On opening the package and inspecting the record, there was a very visible small scuff and a very small edge chip, ah well cannot complain at $20 however a closer inspection bought to my attention a 1" hairline crack on the run in, and I have to say others may not have seen it, it was that tight

Although a little pissed off, I wasn't about to start a drama over $20 but thought it best to at least let the seller know of my dissapointment and explain the faults with the record, I did explain that I wasn't after a refund as sending it back was just not worth the agro and cost involved, but that he should be more careful on grading records.

Low and behold this morning when I turned on my pc at work

Scag90 had sent me a full refund into my pay-pal account

he also apologised and could not understand how he had missed the crack, (I can see how it was missed)

and told me to keep the record

Now doesn't that make a change

I mean he could have gone through the refund procedure etc etc, but he just gave me a refund no hassle, and he has lost his postage and sellers fees as well as allowing me to keep the record.

So if you do view SS Scag90 Thank You & well done, restores the faith a bit something like that.

This is good to hear and a great idea for a thread. I have had similar experience with other sellers and think we should share these as well as the bad stuff.

on a slightly different note I sold a record, a reissue of baby washington described as mint minus HAD NOT BEEN PLAYED went to a guy in canada called fanof45.s for £8.50 he emailed me four weeks later and said record had bumps on it and he was gonna leave a neutral feedback i emailed him back told him to keep the record and i would reimbuse him fully including postage he'D ONLY GONE & left feedback straight away, this took my feedback from 577 positive 100% to 99.5% GUESS WHAT HE DIDNT GET HIS FOOKIN REFUND AVOID fanof45,s from Canada like the plague

sorry to be negative but it needed saying on the whole people are fantastic on ebay

i put a post on here last week about an ebay seller who also refunded me as he noticed a small warp while packing but still sent it foc !!....funny enuff he was from the states too....
