Back in 1971 I was totally bowled over by an L.P. called Street Corner Symphony by the Persuasions - surely the best a cappella group EVER!!!!

And after that bought several more of their L.P. releases.

I just noticed that a few tracks from one of the later albums are now up on You Tube.

If anyone fancies a listen here is their cover of the Temps - "It's You That I Need"

The trouble with Acappella is "Its A Thin Line Between Love and Hate"

Kegsy

Absolutly love the Persuasions, in fact anything accappella, especialy of the soulfull variety. Check out some early Doo Wop accappella by a group called the Shells. Their version of bad girl is spine tingling.

Wow - that truly is a spine-tingling thought!! Bad Girl way up there in my all time favourites.

Sorry to be self-indulgent but here is one more Persuasions cover - and the Impressions' original.

There is love flowing out of these tracks by the bucket load.

Hopefully some kind of antidote to the seriously bad vibes occuring elsewhere on this forum.
