Wow, this is absolutely brilliant, some of you may know this from a Trojan compilation called Work Your Soul, it was originally an unreleased track on a US Heartbeat cd which I put them onto years ago, anyway I have a found a vinyl version and it's a totally different take; different lead vocals, extra female backing vocals and even the label looks ultra-cool. Will send a sound clip up later.

n.b. this is a soul track, not reggae

Bloody hell, brilliant version on the LP, is this better. I have three excellent copies of the JA rocksteady version and they all hiss, does this play cleanly? I'm dead jealous.

I'll send it up in a minute mate, see what you think, yes the other version is great but with these different backing vocals I think it just edges it. I've got the rocksteady version on UK Doctor Bird and the pressing isn't too bad really.

That surpises me, they usually msatered them from disc didn't they? The copies on Duchess seem to all have a flaw in the first third of the disc.

CAN SOME ONE CONFIRM IF THIS FILE WORKS AS I AM STILL GETTING NO SOUND OFF IT, BUT I DO GET SOUND ON THE ONE FURTHER DOWN THE THREAD

Would be nice to be able to listen to all of that. Like the label says, this is Cool Soul. Hard to find a record where the horns and the voice complement each other so well.
