For those of us who can remember the extensive threads regarding authenticity of the Bob Relf-blowing my mind presses.

I've been thru the back threads and unless im mistaken ,i never noticed a major point regarding legit presses.

We established the TRANS-AMERICAN (YELLOW&ORANGE) were the real issues and the yellow trans was a re-issue.

I've been looking at the copies on popsike and noticed ,irrespective of telephone numbers in the run out groove ,there are two different looking Trans american (yellow) and two different orange trans american.

Look closely at these https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php...mp;x=22&y=7

Some clearly state they are original 1st issues and have "A RUNI JUNI PRODUCTION"

Others have "a fortune cookie production"

The info on the fortune cookie copies seems a lot more detailed,crediting producers etc ,whereas the runi juni copies are a bit vague?

Im starting to think the Runi Juni are possibly re-issues or even dare i say it "BOOTS"

Either way they have been both commanding same prices.

Anyone know anymore

Don't know about 2 different Orange Trans-American issues Nev but definitely 2 different Yellow ones and one is a bootleg. I think the difference is in the matrix stamps.

Kev if you look thru the posikes there are deffo differences between the orange and yellow TRANS-AMERICAN copies.

Reason i was alerted to it,there's two yellow ones on ebay now and sellers other items include a few 70's boots described as re-issues.

Not gonna touch em now ,too much grey area for me

"Blowing My Mind" is a Runi-Juni prod, and "Girl You're My Kind .. " is a Fortune Cookie Prod in all Orange or Yellow cases

just checked mine and honestly this is the firt time that i have noticed this

both sides have what i can only say resembles a telephone stamped in the run-out.

You're looking at two different sides, each having different credits because they have different origins.

It recently transpired, by the way, that "Blowing My Mind To Pieces" used a backing track which had been created by writer/producer Lou Barreto and arranger Jack Eskew. They had recorded the song on another artist (but with the spoken section right at the beginning of the song) and their master was adapted for Bob Relf's version, without their knowledge.

Lou only found out about Bob's version last year.

If you compare "Blowing My Mind To Pieces" with Rita Graham's "Gone With The Wind Is My Love" you'll notice the productions are very similar. I've no doubt they have the same origin.

And watch out for a limited UK issue of ""Blowing My Mind To Pieces" on Selecta/Shotgun to coincide with its use in the Clubbed movie soundtrack.

Mr Manships guide says it's a drum surface and drumsticks but to my old eyes it could be anything
