One of the very very few pictures I've ever seen of the inside of a record warehouse from the sixties.

King Records with a picture that begs a thousand questions.

I didn't take the picture (obviously) and I've no idea who originally did. Not even sure where I got it from.

All I do know is that I'm very glad I did.

King says keep it 45.

Hi there Derek great picture but out of intrest was this really early sixties or maby late fifty's as they look like they are handling 78's ? regards Simon.

Well spotted that man.

As I said earlier I've no idea when the photograph was originally taken and at a quick glance you (ie. me) want it to be from the sixties.....

Like you, I had noticed that it does look like the staff are handling 78's which did make me sorta think the photo could've been from the late 1950's or early 1960's.

Have since read that most major record companies had stopped using 78's by the early sixties.

And at the risk of sounding like a tabloid journalist never let the facts get in the way of a good story......
