just removed a recent reply to an old thread as thread contained links to a malware infected sales site which can cause issues

thought just jump in with a "Good tagging Sir" shout as davids use of three tags demos what was on about earlier better if click on the tags you can see a list of similar posts tagged for sales it means that both now and in future anyone viewing another say "little tommy" thread will see your post in the also tagged box at bottom eg geezer may be reading this thread gets to the bottom and then sees that you have one up for sale! just one example of how it works of course for it to work best it needs members to tag the posts both now and in future

good example of tags a recent sales post of marlynns tagged marlynns /tags/forums/marlynns/ links to a few other posts and now and in future people can find post and navigate to the post easy not so good example sales post tagged as few 80s too... people clicking this will only get one post - more than likely the same one that were viewing, no related posts, info show etc etc

think one of the 'main' points of the poll has sort of got watered down maybe my lazy wording wasn't so much about long spots in general but more a case of... would ones by djs who you personally consider a top $ type dj be an welcome attraction ?

have switched on the tag system for the sales forums for a try out idea is that you can use them to help provide a reference for current and future members for it to work its best that the tags are simple short and only reference the artist and /or the label eg drop the "the" on artists, point to note that they way they work best is if they match other tags can use them for tagging your lists but..... using these for over the top promotion and/or ott selling techniques will be treated as deliberate misuse and will be discouraged mike

lot of soul (hah) searching going on recently on other threads ref events what's the views on longer sets ? would say a event offering a couple of hours or even more by a top dollar dj or two get your bell ringing and your car moving? just a monday throw away thought and an excuse to check that the poll feature still working own view is yep could be a good thing, the right dj and all that

yeah sure and its the usual stirring rubbish from you if kev roberts or anyone else inform us of any concerns on any post then be more than happy to look at it we had a complaint about that post by carms from another member as carms also personally insulted another member the other day felt a word was needed any more moaning take it to feedback

have seen and removed the offending comment best bet in future in such cases is to report the comment asp via the "report post" feature that way site aware that such has been posted and can if felt needed take appropriate action remind all members to bear in mind that the event guide is not the place for such posts please use the feedback forum if wish to further discuss
