Hey Chris did you not read my other posts regarding the feedback feature? here's one a couple of posts ago
  4. ok one feature that may be aware of already is the Light/dark modeDefault colour scheme is System(auto) easiest way to demo/explain is a video grab Screen Recording 2025-05-15 213808.mp4 note As the video shows you can choose which setting light , dark or system you prefer the default setting is now 'system' which means that the site will reflect the setting of your device so if viewing on a phone in dark mode , the site will show in dark mode and same if phone is in light mode to stop this you will need to select a setting as per the video myself currently using light on the pc , use dark on my phone
  5. improved search feature along with a new live search feature added Search has been improved both layout and execution wise Click the search icon that shows on the top of every page and you get ... start typing a few words and ya get... all fairly fast and easy (depending on the search term) A members only feature though ...
  6. The forum has a new 'most helpful' feature basically similar to reactions but a separate stand alone feature, if a post gets enough 'most helpful' ratings then it gets featured can see the link at the bottom of most posts, next to the quote link a feature which could be quite useful imo, especially in 'box'
  7. Time Out takes .. time out to... well not sure really Here's the info, anyone do a quick summary? Death of the two-step: how old school dancing became Gen Z’s favourite night out From northern soul all-nighters to techno ceilidhs, ‘old-fashioned’ social dances are having a modern renaissance Time Out United KingdomHow old school dancing became Gen Z’s favourite night outSocial dances are having a modern renaissance
  8. A new editor replacing the old one Not a lot of use if you just post up quick comments and such but sure those who post articles, news, events and such will find a use for some of the formatting features There may be some issues with posting and embedding 3rd party links as time moves on, some sites/services may need to be set to approved Let me know, if you run into any
  9. the above is for pc and tablet if ona phone ... its not so obvious to get to your inbox on a phone if you hit the account icon at the top of every page you will then see 'messages' link hit that and you are taken to a list of messages not your inbox you then need to hit the message icon togo to the inbox which has the same features - auto search etc not sure why its like that but will have a look at tweaking it in near future
  10. An as I come across them will post up sort of topic, all upgrade related The pm system now has an auto- search at the top of the left hand sidebar which should make finding past pms that much easier Also can now doomscroll all your messages in the same sidebar, not sure if it goes to the very end, as too many pms, anyone confirm Have a look https://www.soul-source.co.uk/messenger/

up to 2 weeks , as said waiting for the author of that app to update, if not available by then will look at an alternative version/setup - data is kept so hopefully wont be too much of a pain or too long cheers mike thats great to hear, what about the ipad issue has been some issues with the pwa version of safari etc but recent work seems to have sorted them, has it for you?
  12. Mike replied to Mike's topic in Freebasing
@Chalky the video feature is now back , can you see if that resolves the 'activity' issue ?
  13. Mike replied to Mike's topic in Freebasing
looks like it may be due to the video feature being on hold, your activity feed appears to be calling it and failing there's some hassle with updating the video feature at moment, so looking at a way to turn your activity off
  14. issue resolved basically the cancelled tag was getting added to any event that had used other tags the only ones who are now showing it are the correct ones now ho hum
  15. Mike replied to Mike's topic in Freebasing
ok thanks for letting us know be a hour or so before can have a look
  16. There's a Issue with the tag system - In the Events Guide some have been showing 'cancelled' tags when they are not This was happening in the 'more events by' box fro all events and and also for some events in listings Looking into it now will post more asp

thanks mick - the feedback app status was mentioned above , its 'awaiting the author' to upgrade it, if need be can/will get a alternative up all the data is kept just so hopefully be a couple of weeks without yep the submenu has gone, that was the default softwares choice, there is a lot of variety in how people navigate the site nowadays especially with different devices, but yep its something to look at in near future thanks for the feedback
  20. Mike replied to Mike's topic in Freebasing
can't see where that is ken, can you guide us in ?

ok making progress, getting through things, a few glitches solved and working thru the list, one point... layout the light/dark mode may be surprising people, as in the 'automatic' mode of it switching on so for now have switched the default to 'light' view and will switch back to 'system setting' in a day or so
  22. Mike replied to Mike's topic in Freebasing
thanks for posting that guess should have explained dark mode v light mode v system setting the site default is to use your device setting eg if your pc/tablet switches to dark mode automatically say at night time then site will also do, the same for the light mode say at morning you can override this by using the buttons at the bottom left of every page easiest way if not up to speed to see is to have a play bottom left 3 choices, light permeant, dark permeant, or system settings

ref the feedback app yep its a useful feature, been both chasing and waiting the app author for a updated version, but nothing yet, plan is if no joy to use an alternative but be a couple of weeks before can sort ref ebay - yep am working thru stuff in a sort of priority order, the link on top menu will return shortly (24-48hrs)
