Does anyone know what the story is with the SYMBOL label in terms of the different label designs, are they all authentic ?

Just read this in local paper, these people were obviously Soul fans, references to KGB and Mr Ms. Do you recognise any of the names, or people in the Photo ?

Yes I heard this as I was driving home, my ears pricked up when I heard Move on up being played (on radio 4, that must be a first)the Casper Melville guy mentioned 80s rare groove and his involvement in that scene. I love to hear these intellectual type discussions on popular culture.

I would love to get hold of some of these sleeves as most of my collection is in these, as bought in the 70s, I am now using the plain white card sleeves and find they mark or scratch the playing surface, never noticed any probs with the poly lined sleeves sweating. Seem to remember picking these up in packs of 10 ? in certain record shops, in the 70s.

Looks like its time to grab that record box mate and make a run for it.

Thankfully I'm only on my second marriage (to a wonderfull woman, i hasten to add) and she "tolerates" my addiction to vinyl, but i have one hand firmly on the handle of my record box whenever theres an arguement in the air, and it will be the first thing out of the door with me.

Can't wait, when and where is it ?
