chalkys post beat me to the post while I was on the phone and didnt see it, strewf £ 120.........anybody want to buy mine for 100 and will get another one for 50.........which IMO is 20 quid too much but as said many times before ,todays prices. it works both ways mind you see 50 quid records going for 100+ and 100 quid records going for 50, unfortunately the majority are overpriced, part of the fun is looking but how often when looking do you buy it there and then cos you need the fix !!!

one of the better spins from the casino and always a fave of mine, unfortunately Mr pork pie got me to part with 50 for it, again as people say do you wait and see it for 30 or 40 or do you JUST BUY IT !!!! this is the wonderful thing about soul ( and this forum ) what is well known to some is unknown to others and sharing the music is everything, Herbert Hunter on Poncello is a lovely mid tempo cut and well worth buying blind if you dont know it, I paid Craig Moerer 20 bucks for mine and well worth the money, seen it on a few lists for about 20-30 quid. born to love you IMO is one of the classic up tempo dancers of all time and strange ( no dis ) that Janine hasnt heard it, YES you will know it as you seem to be like me with records and labels and artists...the mind is a bunch of wires and you just need to match the correct ones together and you get the record/artist/label , anyway what was I trying to say, oh yes, purchases this week. easiest way is to log onto John Manships site as some records have sound bites, also try dealers with sales tapes attached to their lists, try Henry Atkinson.( or Steve Jeffries ) punch in both names on the search engine and they should come up. so many records to recommend for all tastes so how many do you want ?? watch out for the pop/disco stuff though. AVID VINYL is another one, will find the link and sent it to you

good info from Grant for you and it is hard starting a collection now ( or again after many years away ) but be careful and look HARD around before you buy as prices are all over the shop and it is so easy to buy the first copy you see then 3 weeks later theres 3 or 4 coming up, as per other discussions a lot of the records are not rare its just getting out and about to see them in boxes.........dealers are good but they have to make a living, take a breathe dont rush and get on some regular mailing lists as its amazing how often you see a record on a list that appears again a month later !!!! the rare ones are rare but a lot of average records have a big price spread.....good hunting its all part of the fun.

have you tried Pete Smith at planet records ? or Rob Messer or Swifty who are fair dealers ? whatever you do dont spend £95 on it with them............it will turn up, they always do. you might find its not there anyway...
