Not heard it for sometime, but I'll go for "Scratchy"

Downturn In Event Attendances?
Have to disagree with you a little there. When Stoke is busy you almost have to fight for a place on the dance floor. It wasn't like that on Saturday. There was loads of dance floor space. Stoke is still one of my favourite places though. Even on a relatively quiet night there is still an excellent buzz in there. Col.

Dancefloor Disaters
I'm shocked by that and sorry to hear it. Well not about being called Soulsmartarse, thats quite funny. Yes I've been around when some DJs have been yellow or red carded, but I doubt thats just a London thing. Surely that happens up north? I was recently speaking to a northern DJ/collector fairly recently about the scene down here and his view was that most people down south made an extra effort to get on because the scene was so small. Up north there are loads of dos on and you have loads of choice where to go, but down south there aren't. So if you fall out with somebody down south one week you've got an almost 50/50 chance that you're going to run into them next week. So there's more reason to be sociable. One of the worst incidents I've seen was at Prestatyn when 2 old soulies who had just been introduced by a mutual friend started a proper old row about football within 10 minutes. Col

One of the things that I object to is generalisation. Please be a lot more specific. Personally I think you are talking out your backside and will not be able to supply any facts to back up the above. Col.

Just Wondered What You Think Of This Track
It has a few endearing features about it, but really doesn't do it for me. It if I was out & heard 4 or 5 tracks like this played back to back, I'd the know the evening was on a downer. Col.

Big Dee Irwin
See what you think of this classic. Ok its a little bit left field & it contains the immortal lines "I'll show you how to donkey in a little short time, Just do what I tell you and we'll get along fine" It was recorded shortly before he fired his agent. Enjoy it. Col.

Marvin Gaye
Cant answer that. I'm just a soul music lover. But I can tell you I was sitting on the edge of my seat, jaw wide open. It was awesome. Hate to admit it, but sometimes the BBC just hit spot on. They really put some effort into that documentary. Trevor Nelson, please take note.

Maybe due to legal reasons this guys wants to remain anon. He's certainly not seeking attention. We should respect that. Col.

Probably just a phase you are going through. How long has this been going on?

Bobby Womack In Concert
Doubt its a venue specific problem. Assume if the artist is only appearing for 1 nite, there's only going to be a limited amount of time for sound checks.
