Sort of know where you're coming from. Everytime I hear the horn section kick in on Mable John, I can't get the theme tune to Minder out of my head. I keep thinking of George Cole saying something like - "Stand on me, Terry - it's a nice little earner." Col

Hope its going to be better than last year. Worst sound I've heard at a concert. Half way through the sound man actually walked & didn't return. He was also badly advised on what records to sing. Not that you actually hear the words. Col

Maybe it was a preminition that everybody would dislike him. Maybe that was the only thing he got right. Col.

Just had a quick trawl though my collection. Nowt by Curtis Anderson, but a couple by Curtis Hairston. Just what I should have expected really.

Curtis Anderson - The Hardest Part - Brown Bag on 7" is now £200 + with 8 days remaining. Thats an 80s record that I'm sure charted in Echoes. There must be loads of these about. I was fairly shocked when I saw Sam selling Pressure for £100 on 7" but thats still very much in demand. Haven't heard Curtis Anderson played out for ages. Although its a good tune. For the above 2 records, are the 7" versions worth a lot more than the 12" versions? Col.

Yep. I love hearing new stuff like this...."fresh as a daisy" Only slight downer for me is that mandolin intro. Glad that never caught on.

At Prestatyn, my good mate Pat from Egham (well hammered at the time) bought a new CD from Lou Pride and had the great man personally sign it. In the morning there was an almighty groan....."aah fcuk it i've only got him to sign the cellophane wrapper!" As Brett says, good comedy writes itself. Col.

Hi Charlie Regret can't explain what stomping is in word format, but can advise (Ken) that stomping & shuffling are a million miles apart. Stomping went out went out with ark, cos it was just basic & didn't evolve. Shuffling, now thats a different matter. Very few people can do it properly but when they do, its a joy to watch. Col.
