So sad to see this great night end. Steve & Pauline ably assisted by Paul & Sue have put a lot of effort into this night getting some great DJ's on the decks inc Mr Manship every month to play some top stuff from his box Has not been helped by the addition of a free pub northern soul night run on the same night just 300yds away Lets all get there to make the last night in Nov a cracker, well with JM and Soul Sam on the decks it will be anyway . I,ll be there, oh and mines a Magners Ian.

Seen this out and about at very different prices over the years, both cheap and very expensive. PB had some copys years ago which i think he sold at £80 each. JM had it & may still do on his site at £10 seen out at venues as much as £200 and £250 worth of swaps. Someone once told me TB was after copys of it and it was dog rare. Don't know a thing about it tho !! Not a brilliant record by any means, don't think you could dance to it (not heard it for ages so memory may be cloudy) so was it ever a hit with collectors or what ?? Anyone got any info ??, over to you........... Ian.

i was there at Wigan in 75, it was fantastic even though we found out later he was really ill !!! His voice was superb and although he didn't dance as much as he normally did it will stick with me forever. Funny having just listened to his story on R2 in the last few weeks it seems certain he came to the UK as he was skint and need a quick tour to pay for his gear and young girl problems (sounds just like me in them days ) Considering how much money he squandered back then on drugs/alcohol/women it is amazing he was still alive in the 70,s !! I don't go and see many live acts anymore and believe me after JW there is NO point !!!!!! Ian.

See this in boxes at £50 now Kev !!!

It,s a real one all in the way the No,s are written, if the 2 has a loop in it and the 2 sixes look like sixes then it,s the boot, if the No 2 has NO loop and the sixes look like a b then it,s real there is no other markings on it, was talking to JM last night over a beer and this came up again, these were done same time as Eddie Regan by KR , they are very close and most copys will look faded as originals because they were made to look that way.
