That's really shitty Phil, we have all dropped price bollocks over the years but that's the game, once a deal is struck it should be a done deal, how many of us can say oh I wished I'd have held out for a better price or I should have priced higher, with the market being what it is he should have been glad of a sale and supplied you with the record at the original asking price, still you'll never deal with him again will you. Shocking news, trouble is you can bet your bottom dollar that if it does close some multi national chain or company will steam in there and open a bistro or coffee shop, the location is perfect for that type of business, pretty sure we can put a hole in the rent and rates and maybe set up a soul source/scene fundraiser? what you reckon Mike? pretty sure over the past 31 years this venue has touched all our hearts in some shape or form, it's a special place not just for the soul scene but the world of music in general, maybe some of the big guns who have played there over the years can also help from the financial perspective? you can't just push all that history away it's a disgrace.
