  4. Am I the only one who thinks that the font is so small its not worth looking at the list?
  5. My copy came from a kind man very close to Mr Jackson himself so I'm 100% sure it is an original. And the letters/numbers in the dead wax do NOT have enough room to put another digit after PRP.
  6. Hi, If anybody has this one for sale please let me know via PM stating price and condition. Many thanks. Best, John.
  7. Is this really rare? I've had a copy for years and thought nothing of it. I'd much rather listen to his "Welfare Blues" on Yumie or "I've Been Cleaned Out"on Goldsmith TCB.
  8. I've PM you twice now - do you want to discuss this 45? Best, John.
  9. Thanks guys for your kind words and good wishes. A long way to go but a positive start I think. John.
  10. It took me a couple of goes as well - try refreshing the image a couple of times.
  11. Good afternoon, Today is the official launch of the Cosimo Code, a new major collaborative internet resource on New Orleans music. Please follow this link www.cosimocode.com to go to the site where you can find info, images, links and music connected to Cosimo Matassa, the most important figure in the production and distribution of NOLA soul in the 60s and into the 70s. Please do join the forum to assist in the ongoing project which has been developed by experts John Broven, Davie Gordon and Peter Gibbons, all orchestrated by soul music's Chief Of Detectives, Red Kelly, who has done all the technical "heavy lifting" and has generously offered to host the website. And it's fun as well! Come join the team! --

  16. Hi, If you have a copy of this one for sale please send me a PM with condition/price. Thanks very much. John.
  17. Thanks for the imfo Marc very helpful. I have the Gay Shell 45 with "I Won't Cry" on it - but can't find it. It's misfiled somewhere on my shelves. Been looking for the wretched thing for a couple of months now...
  18. I know what you mean about info being repeated all over the net - but since the tracks of the supposed Gay Shell 45 are different from the Ride 45 I'd say it was more likely than not that the Gay Shell exists.
  19. Thanks Marc that would be very kind.
  20. What's the flip like Callum? Can you post a soundfile? Thanks. John.
  21. The Ride 45 has a different flip. Also the Gay Shel is mentioned in McGrath's Soul Discography and at this site here https://www.soulsides.co.uk/western/GAYSHEL.htm I've not seen it on Gay Shel but do have a note of it so I included it in my R L discography here https://www.sirshambling.com/artists_2012/G/r_l_griffin/index.php
  22. My copy of 1002 has these numbers Well get it TM0663 Peacock stomp TM0662 So this doesn't fit in sadly.
  23. I Can add one more the Gay Shel listing 1004 - James Lynn Marsh w/Big Bo & The Arrows "Any More" / "I Won't Cry" Pic is here https://collectorsfrenzy.com/details/150896767209/Deep_SoulRB_45_JAMES_LYNN_MARSH_BIG_BO_I_Wont_Cry_GAY_SHELL_HEAR Can't lay my hands on my copy at the moment but it does beg the question of Gay Shell 1001 and 1003
  24. Hi, If anybody has a spare copy of this one please PM me with price / condition. Many thanks. John.
