I never really looked to deeply into his early recordings with the soul stirrers, but I think after this thread I will definately take a deeper look!

this is one of the gents that got me into soul, not northern, but soul. such a smooth voice. "Another Saturday Night" is my choice, though i do enjoy sugar dumpling, not his best, as stated before, but always fun to dance to.

i never hear his name mentioned..... ever. probably because none of his recordings are really rare, but for sh*ts and giggles, what is your top sam cooke tune?

Pete where oh where did you find your profile picture? it cracks me up every time i see it.

My favorite part of it is how some of the 45's on there you can get a nice original press copy for the same price they are selling the re-presses for.

i have been hunting for this 45 for ever
