  9. T.J. Fowler - "Milk Shake" / "Coochie" - Bow Records #309 - **** SUPER SUPER RARE **** minimum bid $75 Early Soul / R&B instrumentals by legendary Detroit arranger and conductor T.J. Fowler! Produced by Harry Balk (of Johnny & The Hurricanes and Del Shannon fame), the A-side here ("Milk Shake") was cut BEFORE it was given to Johnny & The Hurricanes to record for an album. T.J. wrote a handful of songs for Johnny and The Hurricanes including "Crossfire" / "Rocking Goose" / "Hot Fudge" / "Shadows" and several others. This is a great an ultra rare collectible for any R&B fan and especially for any Johnny & The Hurricanes' completist! Here's "Milk Shake" in it's original form before being souped up and rocked out by J&H. T.J. was signed to Fred Mendelsohn's Savoy Records, and later to Bow Records as shown here, a subsidiary of Mendelsohn's Arrow Records label. https://youtu.be/VORxFXexLEY https://youtu.be/Y8gcJHlCuns
