chattin with a mate of mine about old junk shop finds from the 70s/80s when he reminded me of the time he found joann courcy ive got the power on twirl for 10p(lucky sod also got a mint chapter 5 demo from the same shop). now we all know this gos for between £500 -£800, but what amazes me how such a scarce record from the states (just one single copy) can end up in a back street junk shop in birmingham . anyone know why and how something like that would end up there ?. has anyone else had a similar major find of that stature in thier local junk shops

remember going in the other record store not g warr, as soon as i walked in, the middle aged guy behind the counter thin with a mop of black hair called the security to come and get me accuseing me of stealing vinyl, ended up at steelhouse lane cop shop!. best part about it i knew a black mate of mine who went to wigan was lifting loads of stuff from there, bit of mistaken identity i think

i got a black and grey striped jacket from oasis very similar to the one jimmy wore in quadrophenia, felt like the dogs cos certain stalls only had 1 or 2 of each garment and once they were sold they were gone for good so the chances of someone else havin the same garment was quite remote

i had 3 mint copys of kiki dee magic carpet ride from the diskery 50P each , got banned from reddingtons though a supposed good mate grassed me up that i was buying stuff for pence and selling them for big money at wigan,think im the only person ever to get banned from there .

talking to an old mate the other day, when he mentioned a shop in the oasis shop in birmingham ran by graham warr, we used to get all the lastest pressings from him at the time dont really know who he was and what happened to him?, but also remember there was another stall in the oasis shop where a guy had loads and loads of american soul imports any info on these anyone

bought a demo of the mavellos somethings burning on loma back in the early eighties, and sold it about a year late. then bought another copy off e bay 6 months ago and couldnt belive that it was the same copy i sold 25 years ago , i knew because it had a womans name written on it, how strange is that, any one had any similar experiences

still found it strange that sam or anybody else had never heard of it back then when did i surrender emerge on the scene ?

My mate had a copy of a record on abc probe by the litter back in the early 80s great tune , remember taking it to i think it was nottingham palis soul sam was on the decks showed him the record and he actually played it there and then he had never heard it before and it went down quite well so much sam offered to purchuse the record from my mate a few years later the eddie holman i surrender became well know but is the exact same record as the one sam played except on my mates copy the artists were a group called the litter!. never to this day have found any info on this mystery was my mates copy a misprinted label or something,is there a link between the litter and eddie holman any info please

the guys, names tony ,very reclusive kinda of guy with a disabled mother, done alot of dealing with him as you can see by the stamp on the demos i posted,but its a very slow e-mail process assuming he cares for his mum,which is a similar thing ive been through myself
