  1. He agreed to refund half the money and I keep the record so that's not too bad I suppose.
  2. Craig, I have to say mate, that is brilliant for a first attempt and I couldn't get anywhere near that after nearly 10 years on the net, bastard...
  3. covers33 mate..more you buy, cheaper they get
  4. That bloke is an dickhead and always has been, dreadful to deal with in the days of Discoveries magazine before Ebay.
  5. I am a very clean person
  6. Lovely attitude.
  7. Presumably this is the one that Tim Brown reckons is worth £400 or something daft like that. message to Tim: no Black Swan record is worth more than £30. Or at least they aren't until some nutcase tells people they are worth £400.
  8. I've never had renegade though I'd buy it for Duck Soup on the other side; had a mint James Bond, sold it in the collection before last...won't pay for it now though...I picked up a jackie Edwards I Feel So Bad for £15 the other day, unbelievable, especially as it was off Mick Smith was G+ no centre writing on label but plays EX-
  9. It is when it includes Teenage Ska, Man In The Street, Bend Down Low, The Jerk, Greenfield Ska, Lucky Seven, Jonestown Special, Cry Tough etc etc etc ... laverly
  10. Thanks for buying 'em mate...the proceeds went towards the 38 (!!!) island singles I bought last week
  11. Phil - I've posted on exactly the same subject as this after I was done 3 times, same method, people saying they hadn't received the goods after paying via paypal. What I do now, if they won't pay for registered post, they don't win the item, simple as that.
  12. Ed, that is a great idea but there is one snag. I don't do the lottery.
  13. I reckon the case is 100% solid - being worried about someone taping your records is no excuse for selling a pile of rubbish - is it?
  14. I boughta copy of 'manchesters Playboys' from some guy in the States. I got it this morning and it's been ironed, yes literally, ironed...to get a warp out. It's still massively warped, the vinyl is like a flexidisc and you can hear it bump on every rotation. So I emailed him and asked for a refund and he said.. "I'm very sorry Pete, but I don't accept returns. This is so people don't bid on my rare uncomped records just to record them, then ask for a refund." Yeah like after collecting British, dealing in British, writing a British label fanzine and doing a British label price guide I am unlikely to have this track on tape or cd. Surely he is obliged to give me a refund if the item isn't up to scratch? he also says he sold it for what he paid for it. So f*cking what? Anyway, have filed a complaint with paypal. I get more and more disillusioned with Ebay every day.
  15. See reply above mate
  16. Apologies if this link has been up before, but it's tremendous! https://www.littlestevensundergroundgarage...._wilsonmac.html
  17. Yeah sorry, the reason there is no price on it is because I don't know what to ask for it, I know it went for £230 in a JM auction and he books it at at £200 but I was nowhere near that figure.
  18. No idea why I bought this. Anyone want it?

Managed about a minute before falling itno a coma. reminds me a bit of the B side of the jelly beans record "I'm hip to you"...the tune I mean.
  20. John E Paul and danny Williams aren't bootlegs, they were pressed by Decca specifically for the northern scene. Easy to tell as the matrix isn't inverted above the catalogue number on the reissues. Micky Moonshine was also repressed by them.
  21. John I tried a few times last week...will ring soon as I get a sec
  22. Those white ones have been around for years. If they haven't, I've sold 2 originals for £6 each
  23. Eddie your memory is phenomenal, yes I did have it but only for about a week, Paul Clifford had it then and it ended up with Richard Simner. It cost £18 at Wigan. One day you are going to find that tape I did you which has one side current tracks and a live side of Wigan on the other. Philips c90 it was

OK I know where this tape is now, it was quite easy to find, it said SOUL ARTISTS on the label I'll get the gear wired up and stick it on dvd for anyone who wants it. Actually what about if I do it as an mpeg then I can just host it somewhere and you can download it?

It is bad mate, it's that Channel Islands reception, it's very blurry. I got some more bits from the same season I think but I never put the two lots together on one. By the way, in reference to your other point "why do I always take the bait"...what would you do - ignore it and hope it goes away, or stick up for yourself? Can't ever seem to do the first one.
