Why not make a weekend of it. Liverpool is a great place to visit with loads of interesting sights, good Real Ale pubs, great restaurants, especially around Bold Street just yards away from The Sink. If you're coming by train, please check your times as Lime Street is currently being refurbished. See you all there, can't wait. PS - Ian Dunning should be there this time with his usual boxes of goodies. And I'll be bringing a Sales box too

Ha, that's me on the left. Always the bridesmaid. Top man was Widdi, discovered loads of UK releases that are now absolute classics in British label collections. I used to spend hours, at work, listening to stuff he'd unearthed, at extortionate prices like 50p to £3, which was actually quite a lot of money back in the early to mid 70s.

The Sink Soul Club @ Heebie Jeebies, Liverpool

Can't wait for our second visit to The Sink @ Heebie Jeebies on Sunday 17th June, and I'm currently wading through tons of records sorting out what I think will go down well and entertain our faithful, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable attendees. If you thought our previous venue was good, and it really was, you'll absolutely love this place . . . . . and the beer is cheaper. Plenty of parking spaces and places to eat within yards of the venue. So, why not make a full day of it, come see the sights, visit a few tourist attractions, have a nice meal, then get yourselves down to Seel Street for 3pm, when the best sounds around will keep you dancing till 9pm, leaving you plenty of time to get home. If you're coming by train entering Lime Street, do check on the timetables as they have started major refurbishment / expansion works there and disruptions are unavoidable.

Hahaha, this is all getting very confusing / complicated. But yes Pete, you're right, the first record should start at 3.07pm after pausing for a minute at 3.06pm whilst we pay our respects to the 96 football fans who lost their lives at Hillsborough 29 years ago on the 15th April 1989.

It's 3.06pm Pete, Gary was right about the minutes silence at anniversaries and I've made the necessary mod.

"It was 3:05:30 when Mr Lewis blew the whistle and desperate fans were climbing the fence in an effort to escape the crush"

The Sink Soul Club @ Heebie Jeebies, Liverpool

"The situation worsened when at 3.04pm Liverpool's’ Peter Beardsley struck the crossbar of the Forest goal. As the crowd surged one of the metal crush barriers in pen 3 gave way, sending tumbling over one another and into the pen’s front fences"

    Technics Direct Drive Decks

Which MK of the 1210 model do people mostly recommend? And if I can't buy a 1210 brand new anymore, who are the best second hand dealers to go to?
  12. denbo

    Technics Direct Drive Decks

Thanks Steve, I'll do some proper searching on here later, after the footy. Yeah, the 1210's were great but I'm just interested to hear other people's opinions before I go ahead and buy one or a pair.

    Technics Direct Drive Decks

Can I please get the opinion of members on here as to which of the Technics direct drive decks they think is the best. And is it possible to buy them brand new. I'm thinking of buying one or possibly two and I'm not very keen on second hand / used. Please PM me if you'd prefer. Thanks. Apologies to moderators if there's already a section or thread regarding this question that I've not seen.
