  3. The Sink Soul Club, Liverpool--Last One.

Happy New Year everybody!!! I'll be there, keen as mustard, as usual Have been out and about recently, and even at Record Fairs, I'm hearing the buzz for the Sink getting louder and louder. It's a nice realisation that all the hard work we've put in is being appreciated and enjoyed. So, thank you everybody from Stan & Mae, Pete & Suzie, Tony & Lisa, and last but not least me (Dennis) for making what the Sink is, a really enjoyable 'house' full of happy people enjoying each others company, whilst listening and dancing to a mix of quality 60s Soul, Rhythm & Blues, Jamaican Sounds, original Mod floor fillers, Northern Soul, rare Motown, and much more. Remember, get there early if you're looking for that prime seating spot for the night, as it gets really busy, very quickly.
  4. The Sink Soul Club Xmas Extravaganza

  5. The Sink Soul Club

Nah, not me Pete. Stan might be a better person to ask as he and Mae do use taxis quite often.
  6. The Sink Soul Club

Don't know, hardly ever use taxis and never used Uber. stowboy? Is that Peter or Ian?
  7. The Sink Soul Club

Right, all records ready and packed for The Sink on Sunday, including a few I picked up in America over the previous three weeks. I hear the weather's going to be quite warm this weekend so sounds like it might be a hot one. Get there early if you need a table and seat. Otherwise, there's the 'chill-out' area to the rear of the venue where you can chat and perhaps buy and sell a few records if you're of the collector persuasion. I might have a small Sales box if I'm able to sort it in time. Failing that, Ian Dunning will be there with his amazing box of cheap and cheerful 45s. I say that with total respect as I've had a bargain or two from him over the years that I've not seen anywhere else since. Everybody PLEASE NOTE, there are no trains into Lime Street over this weekend and the next few weeks whilst the station receives a bit of a refurb and an extra line installed. The trains will terminate at some point, Huyton I believe, whereupon a bus service into the City centre will take over. We hope this does not inconvenience you all too much but hope it will not put you off attending. See you all Sunday.
  8. Tonelock 2 in 1 Echotone Correction Adapter

Found a different email address, will try that one now too.
  9. Tonelock 2 in 1 Echotone Correction Adapter

Yeah, I've tried that too Steve
  10. Tonelock 2 in 1 Echotone Correction Adapter

Yeah, I've seen that link Steve but there doesn't seem any way of actually ordering or buying the adapter via this link. Unless somebody else can see what I might be missing?
  11. Anybody got one of these to sell me? "Tonelock 2 in 1 Echotone Correction Adapter". Instead of one hole in the middle it has two adjoining holes, which allows off-center records to be played correctly. It works great with records that are slightly off-ce...
  12. The Sink Soul Club

You need to get there 10 to 15 minutes before 3pm to stand a chance of getting a seat, supply is limited and demand is great. There is a 'Chill Out' area round the back, where you can still hear what's getting played, for further seats that don't get snapped up straight off.
  13. The Sink Soul Club

    Nearly forgot to post up the DJ Rota for this coming Sunday, so here it is now, before I forget again DJ Rota 3.00pm - 3.30pm - Stan 3.30pm - 4.00pm - Dennis 4.00pm - 4.30pm - Tony 4.30pm - 5.00pm - Pete 5.00pm - 5.30pm - Stan 5.30pm - 6.00pm - Dennis 6.00pm - 6.30pm - Tony 6.30pm - 7.00pm - Pete 7.00pm - 7.30pm - Stan 7.30pm - 8.00pm - Dennis 8.00pm - 8.30pm - Tony 8.30pm - 9.00pm - Pete
  14. So, it's authentic then. Brilliant, good to know. Hooray to Mike Valvano. Thanks again everybody, including Mace, RobbK, Andy Rix, and snakepit.
  15. Thanks for this information Robb, much appreciated. This is my copy that Mace speaks of and it's an acetate. Based on your opinion, I'm going to consider this an authentic Demo. Evidence suggests that this is a '62 recording, so the 1965 date stamp might just...
