Absolutely spot on and basically thats what I keep trying to stress about 'the old days' - it was much more fun when anything went. By the way, The Whole Thing was an American advert for Alka Seltzer. It must have been popular because it often gets referenced in current programs (in one episode of The Simpsons Homer says "I can't believe I ate the whole thing')

Mark, it was massive but an equal amount of people hated it...I hated it from it's first play and still do, it's a mess.

Having not learned how to interject comments yet, I apologise, but let's see: Cats Eyes - yes of course it's crap but it brings back memories Love Hustle - horrendous Ral Donner - one of the records that made me pack in Wigan Coloured Man - sounded good blasted out loud The Whole Thing - never liked it, good to dance to though Holly St James - wasn't keen at the time, grew on me Five & A Penny - awful have to take you up on Afternoon Of The Rhino though, not many instrumentals sounded as powerful as that and it was absolutely perfect for the time.

That's called Beautiful Dreams and it's on Ember. GREAT RECORD! The reason she's going on about her eyes is because I think the line before mentions tears in them. There's a superb colour promo film of this which gets shown now and again on retro 60's programmes where's she's dancing with this playing in the background. I've actually got an alternative version of Beautiful Dreams which has a bloomin theramin playing over the top of it (Precision cassette version)

I've got a pretty huge list of records to go through and there are literally hundreds of obscure things which look like they might be interesting - could anyone who knows a good deal about r & b possibly help me go through these and mark off items? Looks like a fair bit of work - an hour or two maybe.
