  1. I think you might be right there Christian. Thanks a lot
  2. Thats a really well known one mate, even came out on UK London. Chuck Jackson was in the group. Classsic.
  3. No this is definitely a 100 mph thing mate, it was a yellow label, I got it off Chris Johnson in Florida, wonder what happened to him??
  4. Well it might be one of those...better not be Bobby bennett, Tim Brown lists it at £1000, I wouldn't have sold it for more than £30
  5. I had this about 4 years back, can't remember what it was called or what I did with it, but it was on the V-Tone label and it had exactly the same backing track as The Butlers - She tried to kiss me.

Oh yes it is. If it was by anyone else but Levine people would still be raving over this. Fantastic record.

Another thing - you know that stuff you were just reading about - have you heard some of it, don't mean to sound patronising - it's fabulous. EMI recently put a cd out called something like Jamaican Sound System Style which spans the years 1956 to maybe 1961, absolutely brilliant. Can post a bit up if anyone wants to hear.
  10. It's about 4 grand I think. Or £25 from me.

Kinnell Brett, to each his own and that, but that Chuck Cockerham sounds like a soul pack reject...£1500 would buy you 150 x £10 records all of which would be better than that crap. In my opinion.

It came out about 3 years everywhere else apart from Monster Island. But you're right. Best book on the subject by far, and I've read em all
  13. Just tested it - definitely works!
  14. Oh, Detroit...notice how the guitar sound is excatly the same as in Hurt By Love by Silky Hargreaves, obviously recorded at the same place with the same musicians.
  15. Got to go and cook the tea now so this is the last one, if you liked any of these I'd be happy to put some more up later
  16. Now you lot will all laugh at me and take the piss over this one but I love it and I don't care
  17. It's Freddie Butler - Save your love for me baby...absolutely his best record but sadly his rarest.
  18. Always thought this was overrated myself...
  19. Couldn't get you one cos I don't know what one is. Do you have to inflate it???
  20. This is very fast but a tremendous group track
  21. Yeah the one I had was a white demo on a label called Mas-Tok, little Detroit label. Sold it to Manship for 200 quid about 3 years ago, books at 500 now. Title is Don't Leave Me.
  22. Might as well bung a few more up while I've got them saved on the pc...enjoy folks
