  1. Great idea..
  2. Presume because they were pressed in the UK? Demand also did Stemmons Express and Marsha Gee.
  3. It's like the top one of Inez & Charlie Foxx, definitely
  4. Now this one really is comedy, it's a no centre knackered copy of The Showstoppers - Ain't Nothing But A Houseparty, a record which, in that condition, I would probably charge £3 for at the most. Wait til you see the price.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SHOW-STOPPERS-Aint-Nothing-But-House-Part-Rare-1960s-UK-7-Single-/330661383500?pt=UK_Records&hash=item4cfcf44d4c#ht_802wt_1165
  5. I think mine might have been slightly different - no lines - might be wrong

As far as I know, an acetate is a test cut of the finished product, before they do the vinyl test pressings, like if they needed a copy hot off the press they'd cut a couple of acetates first.
  7. That's the trouble though, nobody realises how rare this is, I started mine off at £40 and eventually took £25 - I don't think anyone would make you an offer, honestly. In the real world, this should be a good £75 I reckon.
  8. This is a white demo copy in lovely condition, I've play checked YCSAMIL, and it plays MINT. Sleeve has the top left corner cut. Price £30 plus £3.50 postage in the UK cheers Pete
  9. The US copy is actually scare, I had a lovely white demo of it and it took ages to sell, but I haven't seen one since.

  11. It would make sense of the label was really called Wide World though wouldn't it, I mean, what's a Wise World?
  12. Even so, I think he was right with his valuation.
  13. Looks like you could catch something off this record! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mickey-Murray-People-Together-/110819341742?pt=UK_Records&hash=item19cd58f5ae#ht_500wt_1413

Would you be able to mark which - if any - are UK labels? ta..
  16. I also think it's got to be Ramsey lewis - could be Young-Holt Unlimited though?
  17. Yeah, intro starts off like an out of tune Blue Moon!
  18. p.s. another fantastic track on this LP is "Around the town", again, no idea if it was released as a single
  19. while the rich f*ckers get away with it all as usual...
  20. I'd just never heard it before Tim, you know when you're not expecting something and it makes you prick up your ears...
  21. I'm only "normal" in the politics section, everywhere else I'm harmless
  22. Just listening to a Gino Washington compilation called Out Of This World and "Like My baby" is on there, big deal, yeah but I've never heard this version before, it's twice as fast as the Do De re / Mala version and has some really powerful drumming behind it. A totally different version. Is everyone aware of this version, and is it on a 45?
