  1. I think most blokes get their records delivered to their work address, so their partners don’t know what they are spending.
  2. Thanks Mike.
  3. I only use the name Quinvy because I thought you had to assume a name on the forum. If anyone wants to be anonymous then why post on a world wide public platform? He is saying look at me, I’ve got all these rare records.
  4. How do you know he wants to remain anonymous? That could be his name for all we know. I was more interested in whether he actually owns the vinyl that he puts up.
  5. So who is bricomalingo? My mate reckons he actually owns the records that he puts up on YouTube?
  6. Anthony & Delsonics - Every Time - Emerge Ex with drill hole. Current value please?
  7. I presume it’s long gone?
  8. So, Steve Mancha - Friday Night - Groovesville. What’s a fair price to pay? Seen it for sale at £400? Surely not?

  13. Just bought a copy of this for a mate on Canadian Deram vinyl single. Just played it, and the production/sound quality is very bassy and not pleasant to listen to at all. Listening to the ones on YouTube, they all sound brilliant. Is it the Canadian copy at fault? I must admit that I once bought a load of Canadian Motown 45’s, and they were also terrible sound quality?
  14. This has been my way of buying over the years. I could never understand wanting to own every record on a particular label. It’s totally about “what’s in the groove that counts” for me. I don’t understand how anyone can afford to buy thousands of records. If it doesn’t move me, why would I buy it. I think they call us hot boxers these days. But having 120 fantastic records, is better than having 2,000 but only ten are any good. Lol
  15. Most of these new buyers aren’t “collectors” as we understand it. They are wannabe DJ’s who want the best dance tunes, that will pack a dance floor. Don’t forget that, what once packed a dance floor in our youth, can empty one now. i.e. Larry Wright vs Holidays Larry Wright is much too fast for today. Even with the fabulous b side. The Holidays in contrast, was always a little slow to be a dance floor favourite, but is now perfect for OAP dance floors.
