Sorry this is late it's been very busy weekend, anyway this weekend we bring you a special guest DJ Dave rimmer who has not only wrote books about northern soul but has been there so many times and bought the tee shirt , here's a bit that Dave has achieved and what an achievement. Dave has been DJing at Northern Soul all-nighters for over 25 years.he is currently a resident DJ at Rugby Allnighter, and Swinton Palais Allnighter. In the past 20 years Dave has dj'd at almost every major allnighter and is a resident DJ at the South Of France Weekender, Dublin Weekender, the Soul in Your Sun Weekender in Corfu, and of course the mighty Cleethorpes Weekender. He's also making his debut at Bridlington weekender this year. Dave has DJ’d in a total of 15 countries. These are: England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Eire, France, Italy, Spain, Holland, Greece, Czech Republic, Germany, the USA, Australia, and Denmark. and has done live radio shows in France, Germany, and the U.K. He's compiled CDs and written sleeve notes on several occasions as well. Dave is also the author of nine books about Soul Music, which are discographies that each cover a major city or area on the history of Soul music, and he has contributed to several other people’s books as well, so we're delighted that he'll be gracing the decks at the northern line, I'm so looking forward to Dave's spot, and with Tommy Johnson and Dean Mitchell and myself filling inbetween, this has got the making of another special night, so if your looking for somewhere to go on Saturday then the northern line is the place to be but if you can't make it we hope to see you soon and keep safe ktf moz

Really looking forward to Saturday 26th March, when we bring you our guest DJ for the night kev Murphy, kev is one of the best DJ's on the northern soul scene, and he has got one of the best record collections on the scene too, kev always plays to the dancefloor and you'll hear some great records played from him like Larry Clinton to the magnetics, just two to wet your appetite, so I'm really looking forward to his set, and with our resident DJ's Tommy Johnson, and Dean Mitchell who I hear have been adding to there already bursting record collections, it's got the makings of another special night so if your looking to venture out on Saturday 26th March come and give the northern line a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed, but if you can't make it what ever your doing keep safe, and hopefully soon we'll see at the northern line ktf moz.

This coming Saturday 26th February, sees us back in the Alford for our 2nd event of the year, and after fantastic 12th anniversary in January, we hope you can make it another memorable night again, but before I start the write up about the event I must let you know I've been into the club today and the club as informed me that on the anniversary in January Talc had been used in a couple of places in the room on the dancefloor as well as on the carpets and we're now on our final warning that if it persists they will pull the plug on the event, i can really understand there frustration as they have spent quite a lot of money refurbishing the dancefloor and the room itself and after years of myself asking them to sort the dancefloor out they have, and for me the dancefloor doesn't need talc, so please pleases please do not bring talc or put any talc anywhere in the room we have been warned im sorry to be coming over strong on this but the dancefloor doesn't need it, ok our guest DJ for this Saturday is the one and only Pete Eccles from the spitfire club in Bolton I've been hearing some great things about the spitfire club it has a very popular following, and with Pete and the resident DJ's there playing there great records I can understand why it's a very popular place and one that I'm deffinatly gonna have to get myself over to, Dean will be with us and Tommy our resident DJ's and myself filling inbetween so it has got the makings of another busy night of quality northern soul, so if your looking to venture out on Saturday come and join the northern line soul family but if you can't make it keep safe and hopefully we'll see you soon ktf moz

WOW, WOW, WOW, where do I start, well I'm gonna start by thanking the 250 plus soulies who came to the northern line, you all made the night what it was, the atmosphere was fantastic and the dancers was some of the best in the country in my opinion, but I want to apologise to the one's that couldn't get in at 9.30 we just couldn't let anymore soulies in, so I apologise, but a decision had to be made, and in all the time I've been running the northern line I never thought I'd have to make that decision, the travelling soulies came from all over the country from Scotland, leeds Bradford Chesterfield Mansfield Manchester stockport Wigan leigh warrington and the Midlands awsome, The guest DJs on the night was Phil dick and mark Sharrocks, and what sets these lads did, Tommy Johnson our resident DJ was on first and from his first record he had the dancers on the floor, and there was some great dancers in the northern line last night , he gave them some cracking records to dance to, next up our first guest dj was mark Sharrocks and what a set he did with records like the phonetics, Larry Clinton Johnny mae Mathews just to name a few, and the dancers loved it and the floor was packed throughout his set, Mark will be back in November as our guest DJ, I'm looking forward to that, next up was Phil dick, Phil as one of the best record collections in the country and I'm sure he brought them with him absolutely fantastic, the records he played was Melvin Davies rarity's, lester Tipton, Dennis Edwards, just to name a few awsome and he'll definitely will be back at the northern line again, our next event will be on Saturday 26th February when we bring you our guest DJ Pete Eccles, Pete has a fantastic record collection and I can't wait to see him at the northern line, we hope you can make it ktf Moz & Cheryl, Dean, Tommy, Jon, jule, & Carl

yeah Ron it was great to walk into the Alford and see that floor gleaming we hadn't been in there since November so it was a nice surprise to see it, and your right about mark the northern line soul family are in for some top tunes I can't wait ktf moz

Nipped to the Alford today, and this nicely refurbished dancefloor greeted me, I can't wait to see the dancers on this sprung maple wood dancefloor.

This coming Saturday 22nd is our 12th anniversary, and we bring you our special guest dj Phil dick, Phil is one of the best DJs on the scene and we're very pleased he agreed to guest at the northern line, he always plays to the dancefloor and has a record collection to die for, so the northern line soul family are in for a treat, We also have another guest making is northern line debut, Mark Sharrocks, i was told about mark a while ago, and when he was a guesting at Denton soul club, i went to see him and he just blew me away, and for me he was a stand out DJ on the night, so I had to bring him over to the Alford, so I'm very excited to see these to top quality DJs do there sets on this special 12th anniversary night, so if your looking to venture out then the northern line is the place to be, ktf moz
