A great way to see in the New Year. For the first time, the Greatstone Soul Club, opens its doors on New Years Eve. After seven years, of 'third Saturday of the month' nights, by popular demand we are staging a NYE party. The usual mix of Rare 6ts soul, Crossover &Northern, in the atmospheric surrounds of a warm and friendly cellar club. The night runs from 7.30pm til 3.00am...... Tickets £12.50....inc. Funnily enough Ged, I was thinking about playing a few Seventies bits & pieces, at Rich & Regs do at SON, prior to the SON evening event, on the 26th ( this included ), sad men we are!! that we are thinking about sets weeks in advance!!,got to be more in life???? .....naw not really.....Tony

Hi Ged, I played this track a few times at the Greatstone (Ernie Johnson), must be five years ago, nice tune, went down quite well, but thats about all, forgot all about it. Then I heard it again earlier this year on the excellent Orwell freebie CD, it sounded really nice!!,I have also heard it played out at the Orwell a couple of times, and it had great dance flooor reaction. So I would guess thats where the re-newed interest has come from, for this particular record anyway. Venues like yours, the G.S. & S.O. N. that have no problem playing some of the cheaper sides, back to back with more pricey records, will I feel inevitably re-invent some of the forgotten 'sales box fillers'.....Tony

Not that surprising though really, its not that long ago that we saw him at the Appolo, (earlier this year) I enjoyed the night, but would not have gone again so soon after.....
