Lovely sky Steve, that looks a great little lake. Went to Mathern Mill Saturday night, like you blanked, maybe two liners, but the Carp were like me tucked up in bed in as warm water as they could find I guess, not a single show until the morning, and that was just one Carp over the other side of the lake. No amount of food is gonna make you eat when you are freezing your balls off, or should that be fins...! lol

Cheers mate 👍.  The lake is quite big really probably half was visible in the picture as it goes to the right in the distance for about the same amount.  I fished the shallow part of the lake as the bailiff had seen cormorants catching Roach there earlier in the morning.  Going again tomorrow but about halfway down the lake into much deeper water so hopefully I will catch  a few .

Winter fishing is a totally different way of catching compared to summer as you well know my friend but if nothing else we are optimistic 😀

I agree entirely. Maria took over and stated 'You've just heard the rare but now you're going to hear the very rare'. Absolutely  brilliant, what a put down, I  laughed for hours. Maria denied saying it when we next met. Doesn't bother me in the slightest

As an aside, on another occasion at Stubshaw, I was on after them and Carl asked me what I was thinking of playing.  I mentioned about 6 tunes and guess what,  he played all of them whilst smiling at me, and me laughing my head off.  They did have a full dancefloor when he spun them👍😁😁

    Happy days, happy stories.

Carl. Has a wicked sense of humour 😁👍

I met Leavanna and her mum a few years ago at Campisoul in Spain. Really nice people who had a good dance all night.

Regarding younger people joining us oldies, I  DJ'd  at Winsford for Andy McCabe, again a few years ago and there were lots of young soulies in attendance who were really 'up for it' and danced the whole time.  It could have been because I'm a great DJ🤣 or because they just love the music. Mind you, they did dance to Carl and Maria who were on after me, so maybe it was the music!

Julian.  When did Andy MaCabe  run Winsford  ? Very curious mate 🤔

    no probs

thats 2 negative takes from yourself now, whats that all about?

Mike. Not negative at all mate, just showing how Levena is filling the venue when lots of regular northern ones are struggling with attendees in these covid controlled times. Maybe could be something to learn for any soul night  promoters.

I love the fact that they use software to spot bootlegs so sellers use the other words to get round it

Ebay have therefore caused a problem trying to solve one

Before the lockdown I popped in to a record fair in a local pub and there was a box titled re-issues and they were ALL boots. I casually mentioned it to the dealer and he swore at me and I was only trying to help him 😁

I would have told him to f off . Re issues 🤣🤣🤣

It’s all been said before... Would love to own the Honey Bees - worth every penny. I do own half a dozen of them however, as they are jolly fine tunes and a great addition to any collection.

Thank you for posting as always.

Like you mate. Owned 8 off this list,

Honey Bees and Jimmy Mack  ( which I missed out on for £150  back in the day  ) would have been two more welcome additions though.

Ive some respect for her passion and commitment for the music and desire to spread the word to a younger generation.  An error to suggest "its never reached over to young people' evidenced by many a film clip. Is her venue posted on Soul Source ? R

Totally agree with you on the error.  Never reached over to young people.  1975 first nighter   I was 16 how young does she mean ?

Tee shirt weather that is Steve. I live in North Yorkshire.😂😂

Hugh. Got some strange looks walking into the Asda across a snowy carpark wearing shorts, North face  t shirt and trainers with as much ventilation as leather .  Yorkshire   you sure know how to treat a girl mate 🤣🤣🤣😜

Omricon - just named as the new variant and there seems to be some level of worry / panic

Might this be the next lock down

    Please don't shoot the messenger

Don't think so, still on plan A according to the latest news but you never know with this fcukwit government,

Got to many venues i want to go so they cant. 😁👍
