Ivor, just reading this and I remember selling you a John Edwards (bell) some years ago. Best Blake
  7. Save yourself a journey everyone. Overpriced & nothing worth buying. In 15 years of going in, the only thing I ever found was Anna King LP for £10 But...........as the link says new stuff brought from store everyday. The real goodies were never in the shop but in the warehouse in my experience, I asked for Larry Saunders "On the Real Side" London but asked if they had a demo, Ray the long haired bloke made a phone call and said call back in a couple of days, The demo was £7 and issue was £4, so I reckon some goodies are still down there. they didn't have much idea about 70s to present day soul anyway only things in the books. "If you dont look, you dont find" BH

Just found out Beanos (in Croydon) Britains biggest second hand record shop is closing, I spent many hours in Beanos at the Surrey St shop and got many many great records there, (Welcome to Dreamsville SS/R&W DJ) etc etc. So it may be a good time for a little early Christmas shopping. https://www.beanos.co.uk/pdfs/closingdownupdate.pdf BH

I couldn't get to listen to said track and as YMMO is one of my all time faves I'm curious about this version, anyone heard it or have a mp3. I think the cd was on Sequel. Many thanks Best BH

  19. Just a tip to save you losing your money/records.If you buy records from Grapevines web site, ask for recorded delivery. Standard postage is included in the price so it may get overlooked Sent for the Barons of Soul 45 over a month ago and its a no show after ten days, contacted Grapevine and told to contact sorting office, in other words tuff tits In the last 8 weeks I've had 6 45s from the US, 1 from New Zealand and ! from Germany also ordered one from Yorkshire, guess which one went missing?? BH

Make a "Wants list" of the records you heard at nighters send it to all the main dealers (with sae or by email) then make your mind up as to what to buy when you see the price. You are under no obligation to buy and you will get the recoords you really want......SIMPLE BH
  23. Thanks John, now who has got mp3s please BH
  24. I got Clarkie's new list this week and saw Nat Fross "Too Many Skeletons in my cupboard" on How Big (for £300), I cant recall the label at all, the only other releases I could find were:- Ida Sands Start All Over Again 202129 Wilson Williams I Got A Whole Lot To Be Thankful For 202768 Nat Fross See Above 202936 Ida Sands is described as "Brilliant Crossover" on GEMM (mp3 anyone?) The number sequence would suggest quite a few releases. Are there any other good tunes on the label? Is it a soul only label? Thanks for any info Blake H
