Yes my 20 year Journey from 2000 to 2020 and mostly waking up with 200 knives in my back!! I have just thanked John Green who as just downloaded over 25,000 photos to a memory stick. Lots of Twisted Wheel Club regulars wanted me to write this Book, and are really looking forward to it.

My Name is Pete Roberts and I also have a New Twisted Wheel Book out later this year. The Book will be called “ YOU DON’T KNOW LIKE I KNOW” because nobody does! It will tell you about my Trials and Tribulations of my unbelievable 20 continuous year journey to keep the Club open. Great feedback on the Twisted Wheel Club yesterday !! And it was definitely packed to the rafters, and as most people know the Wheel is just a small Basement Club with 2 Rooms and we had 265 people packed into that Room ( 1 ) alone . SO, it's a good job that the Club has a certificate for 415. See you all on Sunday in the one and only !! LEGENDARY TWISTED WHEEL CLUB IN MANCHESTER. WOW, What can I say about yesterday at the Wheel, one word FABULOUS. !! Even "Storm Dennis" couldn't keep the 100s away from the Wheel, and like everybody will tell you, it was absolutely fantastic !! "THE SMALL FAKERS" AGAIN TOOK THE WHEEL ROOF OFF. They were BRILLIANT !! And a big thanks to Matt the Sound Engineer for doing a great job on the mixing desk yesterday. Looking forward to seeing you all on this Sunday 23rd at "The Twisted Wheel Club" for another Superb Soul Session as always. With 2 great guest DJs * YOCKY & JOS, AMSTERDAM SOUL CLUB* returning to the Club that he loves so much. A BIG THANKS to you all again, for yesterday. Best Regards. Pete Roberts.

Remember we start at 3 pm so be early, why miss a minute of it ? Believe me if you are into the 60s, you will not find anywhere better than the Twisted Wheel Club. With it's unique atmosphere in a packed basement with an Atmosphere that hits you like a Train when you go down the stairs. See you all in a couple of hours for a FANTASTIC DAY at the Wheel. Pete.

I have just been told that there is a great buzz for The Small Fakers on Sunday. And asked if they will be doing all the SMALL FACES 60s Mod Classics. I'm sure that they will, I have seen them before and they are fantastic !! WHATCHA GONNA DO ABOUT IT ALL OR NOTHING ITCHYCOO PARK TIN SOLDIER Here's just a few that you will hear on Sunday from a Superb LIVE MOD BAND. Yes I have got to agree the book is fantastic, and like I have always said that I never went to WIGAN CASINO, I was pushing a pram about when WIGAN CASINO opened its doors. I did have friends that did go, and I'm sure it was fantastic. Pete Roberts.

Sorry to hear this The Harold Soul Club was a great Soul Club! Run by 2 Great Dj's and Great lads Jools & Lawrence, l also worked there and always had a great night!! l'm sure that you will keep going, and you will find another venue soon. So sorry to hear the sad news that BIFF as pass away, I got to know this morning when Gorden & Joan Toole telephoned me from Tenerife with the very bad news. Biff was a great man who run a great Soul Club. THE NORTHERN LINE. Could I offer my sincere condolences to Johns family, from myself and the Twisted Wheel Club Manchester. Pete Roberts.

Drew, Know what you're saying, but the club was too important in some peoples lives to lose. Byrney, Yes, It is a Twisted Wheel Revival but that's what the people come in for - sounds from the 60's that they all know and danced to then and with over 200 in last Sunday - That's what they want. Not new sounds. If we made it like 'The late 80s nights at Whitworth street were also about new sounds (Butch etc) then it would become just another 'Northern Soul' night and they wouldn't know what was coming on next.

Because with Whitworth St being demolished, the Twisted Wheel club had to find a new home - just as it did when it moved from Brazenose St and it kept the same name. It moved to NQLive which was involved in the fatal fire and is now at Alter Ego. So really it is now Twisted Wheel but at Alter Ego and still playing the same Wheel back-catalogue tunes. Hence, It's still called 'The Twisted Wheel'

Hi Drew, I can only get the 2nd and last Sunday of the month. I can't get the last Friday of the month as it is already taken by another promoter - the only way it may be possible is when it's a 5 week month. So I may do some specials when I have a look at the calendar. Pete Roberts.

A BIG THANK YOU!!! To the tens of 1000's of people I have had the pleasure of meeting over the years at the Twisted Wheel Club!.. Yes sadly 6 Whitworth Street as gone!!! But Music and the great friendships that have been made at the Wheel will live on!! And I know you will still be joining us at THE TWISTED WHEEL CLUB at our New Address on Tib Street in the Northern Quarter, Manchester City Centre. I WASN'T GOING TO REPLY TO YOUR COMMENT BUT MAYBE YOUR RIGHT? WHO KNOWS WE COULD END UP WITH 100's OF TWISTED WHEEL CLUBS OR NIGHTS!!! NOW THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT. YOUR ALSO RIGHT THE TWISTED WHEEL CLUB DIED IN 1971, IT WAS THE ABADI BROTHERS WHO PULLED THE PLUG ON THE WHEEL THEMSELVES, AND NOT THE POLICE!!! ALL THE ABADI BROTHERS HAD LOST WAS THEIR ALL-NIGHTERS AND COULD OF CONTINUED WITH THE CLUB JUST DOING SOUL NIGHTS BUT THAT WASN'T VIABLE FOR THEM TO DO SO..... YOUR RIGHT THE WHEEL WAS GONE AND DIED IN 1971 TO MAKE WAY FOR A 70's DISCO. SO WHEN I WAS FREE TO REOPEN THE WHEEL IN 2000 , I DID!!! SO WHAT SHOULD I OF CALLED IT??.... WIGAN CASINO? THE TORCH, BLACKPOOL MECCA, OR THE CATACOMBS? THIS IS 6. WHITWORTH STREET. MANCHESTER AND IN THE ORIGINAL BASEMENT CLUB WHERE I WENT AS A KID, AND WAS ONLY EVER GOING TO PLAY TWISTED WHEEL RECORDS FROM (1963 TO 1971) AND I HAVE DONE FOR THE PAST 12 AND A HALF YEARS!!
