  1. Just for example taking the Ric Tic records released in Canada. I would price all the Canadian Ric Tic releases at twice the U.S values, same with the Edwin Starr's on Reo, and the J.J. Barnes (Real Humdinger) on Reo I would sell for at least 100 pounds.
  2. Never understood how anyone could prefer the Susan Barrett version over Dusty Springfield's version, even if the Susan Barrett is the original. Remember many years ago, hearing Richard Searling playing Dusty Springfield at Va-Va's. The next night at Blackpool Mecca Ian Levine played the Susan Barrett , introducing it with the words "unlike other places we play the black American original". Of course unknown to him at the time Susan Barrett was also white!
  3. Edwin Starr - Running Back And Forth was also issued on this label. Seem to remember there was a different artist flip.
  4. Cheers Steve, I did just that. Never heard of the site before, but you can't argue with the price!
  5. Ordered mine from Amazon in Canada two weeks ago paid a wacking $140 for it. Original delivery date was Nov 26. Had a message today saying delivery is now Dec 16-21. The site is still taking pre-orders, wonder if I will get newly pressed records? American Amazon is temporary out of stock and charging $140 as well!
  6. Barbara McNeir on TAMTOWN.I believe only 300 pressed in 1978. Manships guide to boots says " Great looking bootleg. Resembles the early Tamla/Motown striped label. Top quality sound....now highly collectable and is harder to find than the original"
  7. This is a rare Albert Jones release. I have only seen promos.
  8. Seeing someone looking for this in wants today, got me thinking how rare is this? Very rarely see it for sale and its not even listed in Manships. Nice midtempo Detroit double-sider.
  9. Hi, I have one on ebay. .
  10. Just discovered that some of the U.K. O.O.T.P label are listed in Manship's - Guide To USA Rare Soul 45's????? Skiing In The Snow by the Invitations is listed at 250 pounds!! Why is this in Manship's ? Why the price??
  11. Apologise for the photo quality, red labels are always a problem. Info is as follows:- a-side Help Me Grow Up (To Be A Man) written by D. Yancey, who also wrote the groups the a-side of the Eldees release on Dynamics, so presume it is the same group. Produced by Johnnie Mae Matthews and D.Yancey, Music by Black Nasty. b-side You're A Sweet Thing written by D.Yancey & H.McGhee. Production credits the same. Will try to post a soundbite later, when I am back working. To anyone who has noticed I only have one posting, I have been away from the site for a time with cancer, my wife dying of cancer, relocating to another town etc. When I came to log back on I had forgotten my password. Sign of the times, I am sure a lot of you can relate to it, so I had to start over again. Thanks to Mike for his help. Of to the States next week, so hopefully will do so buying and I will be back selling in a couple of weeks. Cheers Richard Pack
  12. When I collected the label, found The Eldees the toughest to find. I spent a lot of time in Detroit in the late 80's and finally purchased it from a collecter for $250. Big Hit 111 and Big Hit 110 with its different flip side was also scarce. Just moved home and will try to post in the next few weeks. Cheers Richard
