So this is a boot then

Hi all I have purchased a copy of this record (see pic) and think i may have boobed, can anyone confirm if this is legit or a boot, it looks very new and only has a scribed run-out as TRC-270-267-R it also seems to have what looks like ink splatter on the lable. It was advertised as "HARD TO FIND US PROMO COPY". I purchased this from what i consider to be reliable source and didnt give it the normal investigation i try to give them. Just had a reply from the supplier of this record who seems to have an endless supply and his answer to my question regarding this miss-press You are stating yours is one of the 200 miss-presses is this correct as you seem to have a lot of em and you have their condition as *NEW* can you confirm this please Many thanks his answer "Yes, it is true, me and a friend bought them all from a record store in Chicago a few years ago , regards, Dave" so there you go ??

I have one of these with the deadwax is as above which matches another paula original i have but it has no delta marking is this correct.I want to sell it on ebay and want to make sure it's not the same as the ones coming out almost weekly on ebay. I have in fact contacted the supplier asking him to varify his claims which to be honest he doesnt make if you know what i mean. He states there was a miss-print and there were 200 of them but he never says this is one of them, so i have asked him directly if it is...And i'm still waiting for a respons... Surprise surprise

While were here, i have this copy (darker blue) which is different to the the more often seen lighter lable, mine has cat number on the opposite side darker in colour and engineered by on the left not at the bottom, i havnt seen any others like this one so is it a boot or is it indeed an original, curious more than anything, plus the fact its been indicated to me its not an original .

I have a question relating to this record i have the blue one but it seems different to all the other blue ones in so much as the pictures seem to reflect the light when photographed,which indicates they are possibly glossy labels, mine is paper the others have ST5066A on the right mine is on the left all the others have engineered by allan tucker at the bottom of the disc mine hasnt its has it on the left of the record. Mine was sold as an original, so is this the case or is mine a freak.

Thanks for the responses. I know the modern boot is worth about £10 i am trying to tie down the value of the 70's boot that can go for anything between £40 to £80 (ha so there's the value then) the original seems to go for around £250 to £300 . But it certainly is mad that the boots can go for such a high value in fact i have seen the out of the past boot of mel williams-can it be me go for more that the 1966 modern label release. So i have put a post up and answered me own question pfffff the value is down to what people will pay
