  1. Safety in numbers Sir Bob 😂😂😂
  2. Jordan - I'll give this a spin for you (I know it's a current fave) unless Bob or Mick decide to of course
  3. One that takes me back to Butch in the 90s - they turned up at one point which made it more accessible and then they were gone! - leaving it still on the highly desirable list and rightly so....(IMHO)
  4. Yep - happy to bow down to Johns choice, fantastic track which goes back to the 90s when Shifty played it covered up as Lou Pride. One that sounds so right for the scene today too with that messy edge and great horn section.......
  5. This one's been gathering momentum since lock-down - such a great dancer, the Culcheth faithful deserve it LOL
  6. Well another installment of the Ukrainian waiting to be served up - and only a few weeks on from the excellent night in January! and what a challenge it will be to follow on from that indeed.... Thinking ahead to the night and thinking of my mate Sandy who has been a regular - these 2 come to mind, both firm favorites of hers......excellent taste as ever!
  7. .

Another banging night at the Ukrainian - word seems to be spreading! There wasn't a spare table in the main room by the time we arrived at 20:00 and the bar area was already starting to fill up too. I have to say it was great to see so many familiar faces and some of those first timers at the event, everyone I spoke too without exception had nothing but good things to say about the quality of music and that's the point isn't it? It's one of those functions where if I'm not absorbed in the music in the main room then I'm deep in conversation in the bar or corridor (trying to pick brains with greater knowledge than me of course 😎) Applause to all the DJs - they did exactly what it says on the tin and the dance floor never stopped throbbing all night - and would have continued beyond the finish if at all possible. I'm now looking forwards to see what the February event holds in store for us - bring it on Chris
  8. a c/u for our mate Lenny Dopson at the 100 Club and Lens Den etc - as Walter & The Admirations, and played side by side you can see why - great choice Len 👏 and yes BazM sounds fantastic anywhere..🎶
  9. 🎼 I'm literally watching the clock now counting down to tomorrow night - I've spoken with Stu Cheetham and Sir Bob and they're both well up for it so I'm expecting fireworks no pressure guys!
  10. How about this belter Mick - overdue an outing maybe??
  11. Boom - dance floor pull straight off for me every time
  12. Professional sitting & tapping though 🎶
  13. I can clear the floor with anything Bob - it's just a skill
  14. I think you're right with "it's the one you hear first" Mick - I was lucky enough to be around a little later so both versions were well known by then
  15. It's not your fault Mick don't worry 😂
  16. The other one please - although this is my preferred version of Stubborn Heart Mick
  17. BOB BOB BOB
  18. Lurking in the playbox - you never know!!!
  19. DJ Times for Saturday night: Phil warming us all up starting at 19:30 Steve Skopek - 20:30 Stu Cheetham - 21:30 Bob Hinsley - 22:30 Chris Churm - 23:30 See you all there - be early we're expecting a packer as usual
  20. I'm definitely lining this underplayed gem up for some airtime in 2022 - Culcheth will be 1st time out Get yer dancing shoes ready
  21. You're quite right Mick - first time I heard this gem it was Mr Churm himself who dropped the needle on it!
  22. Not had chance to listen to this blasting out over a powerful system yet so Culcheth might be the place!
  23. Great plan 😎
