Early Soul Scene Playlist
Spot on there with your comment , couldn't have worded it any better.

Early Soul Scene Playlist
Can't really understand why a username has anything at all to do with this request, but at least there are members out there with some positive comments which I'm sure the promoter of this event (not I) will take on board.

Early Soul Scene Playlist
The request for this music policy has come from the owners of the club. Personally I think it is worth a try as I think the scene is awash with too many night playing the same old records. My good friend Fran OBrien is doing a similar event at the Plebs club in Halifax.

Early Soul Scene Playlist
Just to speak up for the organizer of this one. He was approached to hold a Soul event in Keighley, but was asked if he could play the late sixties/early seventies stuff rather than the average same-old-same-old stuff. So rather than guess about these, I told him to put the request on this site. There are so called d.j's out there playing stuff that they think were played at the Wheel/ Torch/ VaVa's etc. but they haven't a clue as a lot of them were in nappies at the time. He also runs another Soul event in the town which does cater for Northern, popular and rare heavy stuff (the latter coming from the box of Phil Dicks). So he's not jumping on the bandwagon just being thorough.

For your reference Also done on the Zea label but as The King Of Hearts. I've had an issue and promo of this and they have played out nice and loud. Just have the Soultown one now but plays fine. Best, Ian

Billy Davis
Hi there, For your reference, had 2 of these and sold for £30 and £50, I would say absolute tops £60, Personally I think it's a yesterdays record will sink into oblivion! sooner than later.

Kindly Shepherds - Lend Me Your Hand - Checker
Hi there suppose you are spot on there, but it may be an idea to stick it on evilbay on the evidence of this mad bidding. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Crying-over-You-Duke-Browner-Impact-Records-70s-Vinyl-Reissue-/121303396289?pt=UK_Records&hash=item1c3e3eefc1

Kindly Shepherds - Lend Me Your Hand - Checker
That's good news as I just won one on evilbay for around £75, but looked on popsike and saw them sell for around £50 so thought i may have gone overboard, but then I should stick to my belief that a record is only worth what someone is prepared to pay at that moment in time.

Kindly Shepherds - Lend Me Your Hand - Checker
Yes it's a good record not a lot of folk know it but I first heard on the Searling show many years ago and loved it. Have you any ideas on value?
-
Kindly Shepherds - Lend Me Your Hand - Checker
Hi Mark, It's a good record but i couldn't afford to shell out on the single so bought the Sunday Gospel Open House L.P. with it on. Personally I think you may be lucky to get £150 (more around The £100 mark) but good luck if you do. Another question to you is it you who plays out the CL and The Pictures Baby Not Now single? Best, Ian. PS Don't know if you will be able to alter your error in the title heading, I think i have had trouble before.

Hi Mark, Think it should be Lend Me A Hand?? Best, Ian

Yes, know what you mean but there are people out here with nothing better to do than "trawl" the site. Good luck with your sales.

Jimmy Beaumont : You Got Too Much Going For You
Jimmy Beaumont : You Got Too Much Going For You. This one has a slight fracture from dead wax into play area (due to poor packaging) with no effect on play at all. Would grade this as VG++. (conservative). £75 all in. P. M. or email ian.kinmond@btinternet.com. Best, Ian

James Lewis : Manifesto
I hope not, or I'm returning to seller. LOL

James Lewis : Manifesto
That's the thing that's bugging me. In his book he refers to RB132s being scratched in on the first turn of the deadwax.
