There's the boot that keeps cropping up on ebay (one on there at the minute), the soul power one with 'the mark IV on the flip and there's the Philly groove one that again is on ebay at the minute but I want a real one if I can afford it !! I know exactly the one that you mean as they play it at hull soul club. Oh and the 'Brookside' one that has been mentioned in this discussion. John

Hi all, Other than the three versions listed below on Discogs are there any other legit versions of this long time want on the mercury label? The more I look for one the more I seem to read about the rarity of the 12 " and of the version ' that Soul Sam used to play.' was this a different 12" ? I believe there was a re-issue 12" in the 90's on the brookside(?) label which looking at the labels was a part of the Mercury group but other than that I cant find anything more. Thanks in advance for any info

Hoping that I've posted in the right area here? Listening to a Mixcloud mix entitled 'In the modern room volume 14' and there is a record that is new to me that I cant identify. I've done all the usual stuff like guessing the title and searching, posting the lyrics into google but so far no joy !! Mainly male vocalist but female backing comes in at the chorus and hopefully if I post the lyrics someone might recognise it. Thanks for any help as its driving me mad !! Sitting all alone, by the telephone .... Baby! You've got me wondering what to do, ever since you , up and you and left me. I was such a fool.... treated you so cruel. Hi all, In London for the weekend and am hoping to do a bit of ' digging' rather than being dragged around the shops by the wife! Mainly going to be in the Oxford street, Piccadilly, Soho, Tower Hill regions at various times during our visit and am hopefully looking to find a few vinyl dealers that stock predominately Soul so if anyone's got any recommendations it would be much appreciated.
