My Chappy copy just says "Instrumental" on the flip side of "Price", nothing else. I'm away from home at the moment so can't investigate further. Different record to the flip on Nu Beat that much I do know.

Pete, in my eyes, you're THE authority, on here, for Jamaican, hence the question directed straight to you. Nowt wrong with that, is there? Stimulates a bit of discussion if nothing else, eh?

Wanted - Oscar Brown
Yes, it's the first issue. The later releases are different cuts too. If anybody has a copy for sale, it has to be the issue on MAD. Cheers.

Okay, point well taken. STILL, you NEVER know.

Wondered that myself? Didn't know that about the label, so thanks for that.

Worth To Collectors?
Yes, I'm fully aware it had links to Motown but when? Did Gordy take over the label to acquire certain talent then move on, explaining the later C&W releases? Just a thought, I honestly don't really know. But then, that's what the forum's all about eh? Learning something new?

Ian Levine Productions And Songs
Arnie, Did you get a reply to your question? Guess you didn't 'cos it wasn't about Ian and his Productions and Songs? Just a guess.

Joe, Did you get a reply to your question? I mean it was on subject.

Worth To Collectors?
Okay, that's interesting. So it wasn't all just C&W after the early releases then. Still, interesting that a label like this, a small independent label, should have a mixture of Soul and C&W.

Warrington Parr Hall
Pretty sure I've lost mine, which is NOT like me. :o( Where do you live Arnie?

Warrington Parr Hall
Yep!!! Me and Frank Jackson. Mel too I think?

Worth To Collectors?
Strange how a label can start out releasing Soul records then after just a few releases continue releasing C&W only? Wonder what happened there? Could it be somebody bought / took over an already established label then just released C&W from there on in?
-
Worth To Collectors?
Thanks Chris. Nice link.
-
Worth To Collectors?
True. But I didn't say it WAS Soul. I asked what it was worth / value to label collectors.
-
Worth To Collectors?
Where / how does this fit into the world of record label collectors? And what kind of value would it have?

What Do You Reckon?
You're right. Thanks Benji.

What Do You Reckon?
This is a German release for those interested in label scans. Picked this up in MINT condition some months ago. I think it looks just wonderful. Perhaps even better than the UK RCA release, if it had ever been issued here, which it wasn't, sadly. Anyhow, my US import copy is now up for sale. Best offer secures. Absolutely Mint-.

Carmen Mccullough
That's ONE story I suppose. I've heard others. Carmen, hope you're well if reading this.

Prices Please
Was that a UK TMG Demo that went for £1058? Oh . . . my. . . . God!!!

The Classmen - Doin' Me Right
Nice one . . . . . . now where's my anorak? So, perhaps the label simply changed names around the time of the Classmen's release? Some came out during the transition on the old name, Classic, and others on Pearce. I always thought that Classic was the 'local' label, with Pearce being more of a 'National' label who released it under licence. Hmmm?

Blue Star Record Label
So what gives with the record numbering system being all over the place?
