To us, the tiny lucky minority, they mean everything. Some are funny. Some are heartbreaking. Some are plain genius. Some… well, some just transport you for no clear reason. They just feel right. Here they are, thousands of them, all together on a huge premium print GEORGE BLACKWELL - CAN’T LOSE MY HEAD CECIL WASHINGTON - I DON’T LIKE TO LOSE THE STORY I’ve always been obsessed by (and I’ve always jotted down) all those northern soul lyrical gems, I recently decided to compile them in one place. It turned out to be a pretty big place, because there are just so many great words. Now I’ve put them all together in a huge print. It’s deliberately strange-looking. It looks like a novel’s worth of words on your wall. Nice and… different. And I thought it would be good to pick 25 monster sounds to create an artwork for, so people can tailor-make their print according to their fave tune. (If you can’t find a song you love from Paris, Cecil Washington, Larry Clinton, George Blackwell, Eddie Parker, Magnetics and Norma Jenkins and the other 18 I picked, maybe it’s not for you.) They’re all there: from the Salvadors to the Silhouettes to Silky Hargreaves. From Soul Bros Inc to Susan Rewis to Steve Flanagan. From Stacy Henry to Speed Limit. It goes on and on.
