  4. Does anybody have scans of this or a copy they can upload images of? I've found a few photos online of the articles but would love to have a look at what else was in it.
  5. Think some do get caught up in looking and dancing like they’re from a specific point in the history of the scene rather than just enjoying it for what it is.
  6. I beg to differ, this take sounds so much better and more interesting. Especially when hearing it over a decent sound system. Another great example of this is the Lou Johnson's take of The Panic Is On... A much more sparse and spacey production which sounds infinitely better when played by through proper means.
  7. Wondering if anybody knew who is singing on this track that was uploaded yesterday? Has some incredible instrumentation and arrangement, especially the faster crossover uplifts not to mention the singing... Even if it is about Christmas, it's a great piece of music that i'd like to hear more about / hear more by the vocalist.

  11. I actually don't reckon AI will ever have the capacity to challenge authentic creativity... Saw something the other day that people have already noticed when brands are using AI generated advertisement & already initially think that the company can't / won't be great and is a reflection of their business practices in general because they are too cheap to pay for an actual designer. I genuinely think it'll be seen as a novelty fad within the creative sectors. I just can't see AI being able to even begin to replicate, never mind synthesise something like Love Was So Easy by Sidney Barnes on Sids Kids. Not even due to the usual comments of lived experience etc. I just see AI being something which will benefit lots of systems within various industries that will hopefully free up a lot of monotonous day to day stuff within businesses. The less of it we see and hear on the scene, the better.
  12. Wondered what people's thoughts on this might be...
  13. German coverage of 'Northern Soul Revival' happening in London View full article
  14. German article & video interviewing some of the people who go to non OvO clubs like Deptford Northern Soul Club, Bristol and so on... See below: https://www.zdf.de/nachrichten-sendungen/heute-journal/northern-soul-revival-100.html
  15. VG+ issue of Wade’s best £100 add 3.50 for post
  16. Worn copy of Stafford anthem that I’ve used to play at various venues. Plays with some crackle that is instantly overpowered by the music. Available at a significant reduction, also happy to hear out offers on this. SOLD Feel free to request video / audio of each side
  17. Is actually that true? I’ve never heard anybody say that, that’s crazy if so! I know the track is written by Ray Whitley who wrote The Tams hits but I definitely thought that they were a white group. Great track, definitely has more of a garage feel to it rather than soul.
  18. Is this the same group on Mira who did I Was Bewitched?
  19. The Enchantments - I'm In Love With Your Daughter - Faro DEMO - EX £450 + £9 Specical delivery
  20. I was speaking with one of the fellas involved with Crawdaddy outside the Blue Posts a few months ago and he said there'd been over 7 million + tracks (or something to the power of that) released & recorded between 1967 - 1977 so really were only still scratching the surface when you think about it, so stuff like this just rubs me up the wrong way and kind of defeats the object of one of the most interesting and integral parts of the history of the scene, which is finding records. To circumnavigate that process is lazy in a word and will obviously never hold a candle to authentic records from the periods they try to replicate, just another thing to scroll past in the algorithm.
  21. Not my cup of tea but there is very little new stuff that I care for to be truthful
  22. Classic floor fillers here for sale today: Baby Washington - Think About The Good Times - EX - £40 Clean labels deapite 2 small marks from stickers Wade Flemons - That Other Place - Vee Jay - VG+ - £135 This copy has very light label wear and a drill hole but otherwise solid player Darrow Fletcher - What Have I Got Now - Jacklyn - EX - £150 My current play copy of this moody staple. The Master Four - Love From The Far East - VG+ - £65 Play copy with a small label tear and slight discolouration, plays perfectly Some wounded ones with plenty of life left in them... Happy to hear out offers and negotiate on prices for the below items: Anthony Raye - Give Me One More Chance / On The Edge Of Sorrow - Impact DEMO - £50 - VG A demo copy of a blue eyed obscurity that never comes up for sale. This copy unfotunately has a tight split through the playing surface that DNAP, this plays immaculately on both sides. This could easily be fixed by somebody who knows what theyre doing. a VG+ copy sold about 4 years ago on Discogs for 80 quid. Insane break neck speed blue eyed brass powered dancer on one side and sought after beat ballad flip. Contact me for videos of each sides audio. Brothers Of Soul - I'd Be Grateful / Wait For Me - Boo (Orange variant) - VG - £60 Severely wounded label - Most of the copies of this pressing ive come across have light static on the intro and unfortunately this one has static on the first 2 seconds before mellowing into an otherwise perfect playing copy, which I have played out countless times... Listing for half of what I paid. Contact me for videos of each sides audio.
