Very sad news indeed, saw him in Utrecht 'estafette' a few years ago he was fantastic. Apart from his recordings for Kent etc in the 60's his later recordings for Leon Haywood's EVEJIM label in the late 80's are worth listening to, License to steal and Streets will love you to death are stand out tracks.

Hello Dave Yes Junior Walker at Mecca Highland Room and Miracles downstairs had a great time. Saw Edwin at Ritz and someone else but cannot remember must have been half asleep from Mecca, then Wigan then Ritz ..blooming heck how did we do it ??

Happens a lot though doesn't it, 45' different take from LP version, incidentally the other version of midnight affair is available on the Demon LP, and a German reissue, certain Stax didn't release it as a 45', other than the subsidiary Truth 45'. But I agree I prefer the LP version, and ive got the Truth single.
