Sad news. I have fond memories of Mary and Brad from the late 1980s. The track most special for me is 'Lord Of My Life', one of my favourite gospel tracks ever. Rest in peace.

Once bumped in to him stood at the bar at a do near Mexborough I think about ten years ago, I think he lived locally at the time. Told him Karen was staying in with the flu and he informed me he had just returned from performing on a cruise liner during which trip he'd also come down with the flu. A very nice normal conversation with a lovely down to earth guy having a drink at the bar. Pete

saw him perform at wigan and Sheridan's , with the usual lovely ladies on his arm . And was always a regular visitor at the Hideaway , always smiling always chatty. lovely man

What a voice! And lyricist... Was blown away when we first discovered 'Didn't I' back in 1990. Was a regular Gilles P radio spin even then. A true original. RIP
