  2. Gil Scott Heron and Terry Callier all in the same year. Something is very wrong with the cosmos. I didn't much like Gil's most recent stuff, but I think Terry's last couple of albums contained some of the best he ever did. A very sad loss.

  6. I was invited to see him by a friend, a gig around ten years ago at The Wardrobe in Leeds - never heard of him, but the friend said I would be nuts to miss the gig. What an experience, I had never been to a see a live set where you could hear a pin drop from the moment that he and his band were on stage. He commanded everyone's attention. The management couldn't have been too happy because no one went to the bar for any drinks when he was playing. So glad my friend persuaded me to go. Phenomenal.

As a close friend to eulu me and Mandy are sad to see such lovely person go through such hardship this time in her life her husband regie has just had a major cancer operation,so last thing she needs is the stress of losing her home to.
