  1. It's about time you went to weekender Kev, you will have a ball with the Macc & Winsford crowd, plus Al & Sheila, can't wait, cheers Jim.
  2. Really? Excellent! Last time I asked at the 100 he said no but that was ages ago. I really hope it is!
  3. Great stuff Chalky - cracking night on Teff's manor last year. Real party atmosphere.
  4. That's diminutive smiley mop top to you See you there Tee
  5. Ady, the upstairs room last year was absolutely amazing! I really hope you're thinking of something similar this year. The quality of records played was out of this world and the playing of only 5 records each was a real winner. Please, do it again!
  6. But the question is... is Teffs room at the top happening on Saturday night. Hoping to pop along with the usual suspects
  7. A quote from Red Kelly on another board. "Sir Lattimore will be interred with Full Military Honors at the Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida on Tuesday, April 5th at 1:15pm."
  8. I saw Sandi at the Rocket and she was superb. Van McCoy's sister is her agent as she was down at These Old Shoes having some fun as well 2 nights before. And she remembered me on the Saturday night (How could anyone forget). That reminds me tho. We'd better phone Jessica to see what is happening with our tickets etc.
  9. Bloody brilliant spot, I'm now late for work Reading that but it's gona ave me chuckling all morning x x x
  10. Hello Steve, The Shotgun singles are available through all the usual stores and mail order outets but some won't have stock of SHOT 107 for another day or two. You're also welcome to order direct from Selrec. Best regards, Paul
  11. Thanks everyone, It's out now and selling well but I reckon a lot of 'northern soul' fans are missing out on that great flip side.
  12. Man, "Shout Bamalama" is killer! I just found a super clean Bethlehem promo of that at People's in Detroit. Great tune, can't wait to hear this comp.
  13. Very sad . . . also strange that we lost Eddie Kirkland in an auto related accident in Florida just a month ago . . . it's heartbreaking.
  14. Would have been a great end to a whole weekend in the North West for me until the cars got broken into or smashed with Vinyl, Turntables and an amp taken from Tony Bruce's car and sat nav's etc taken from other cars. However from 3am - 7am I was looking in the dark hoping to find stuff the bast*rds who done this dropped which I did with the help of others. (Not many may I add).
  15. gutted after all the man went through loved singing to the end r i p sir lattimore brown x
  16. Here's a favourite...
  17. Oh, this is really sad news One of the greats. His "I Wish I Felt This Way At Home" on Renegade knocked me out the first time I heard it which made me look into him some more. I became enthralled with the story of Lattimore Brown (which can be found in the LEGEND section of his site) since I first saw it in progress on Red Kelly's Soul Detective site. I sincerely hope the full docu got made and will become available. Red Kelly's trailer in post 4 indicates what a great full-length docu it would be. Such a reminder that behind the records that we love there are real life and often tragic stories attached. RIP Soul Man
  18. Lattimore Brown's life had more than its fair share of heartache and tragedy. He lost his wife, his home and everything he owned in Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Two years later he was almost killed in a violent robbery. But in recent years he received a lot of help from a new group of friends, including Red Kelly, Bob Wilson, John Ciba etc. Red Kelly deserves a medal for all he did. My friend Eli 'Paperboy' Reed is another who helped out and put Lattimore back on stage in front of a new audience. These people should be applauded for their kindness, they helped to make Lattimore's last few years so much brighter. I'm proud that ten songs recorded by Lattimore are in the Millbrand Music catalogue and it was a great pleasure to help out with mastering, design and liner notes on his definitive album Nobody Has To Tell Me which was issued on Garry Cape's Soulscape label in 2009. God bless Lattimore Brown and those who picked him up when he was down. Paul
