  2. Hi there Brian, if you are MR BRIAN 45 PHILLIPS, then I must thank you for some brilliant sounds I bought from you in 1973/74 from your incredible lists. Just off the top of my head (still got em too): MORRIS CHESTNUT - TOO DARN SOULFUL (AMY DEMO) £10 (weeks wages) AL WILSON - HELP ME (WAND DEMO) £7 BOBBY WILLIAMS - ONLY GOT MYSELF TO BLAME (SURESHOT DEMO) £5 ART WHEELER - THATS HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU (CEEJAM DEMO) £5 plus many many more.... I had the Morris Chestnut BEFORE it got big, in fact I used to lend it John Vincent to play. I had it pressed here in Sheffield with Linda Jones on b side and sold about 10 copies at Wigan one night.... Me and my best buddy Mopsey turned up at your house on route from VA-Va's one saturday too to buy some. What an unbelivable list you ran then mate, all the best , CHRIS BROOKE

  24. Ah yes, spent many a happy hour walking between the WG and the pier as the sun came up. Who can forget, on the walk back to the pier, the distant sound of THUMP, THUMP, THUMP getting louder and louder as you got closer. Yep, it was the feet of a crowded dancefloor at the end of the pier.Magic. Once stashed (foolishly) some blueys & chopsticks on the beach before I went into the pier, came out for them about 4am and the tide was in. Happy Days indeed. CHRIS BROOKE
